Another 100% record for NOD32 on Windows NT, keep up the good work guys! http://www.virusbtn.com/vb100/archives/products.xml?table
GOOD JOB INDEED. But also look at Symantec GO! From all the bad things people say about Symantec the AV is actually quite good...if you judge it by VB (Which most of the people who defend NOD do).
It was Symantec SAV used in the test, the coporate version of symantec's anti virus, usually regarded better than the home version "Norton" that most people use. I was reading the mag today, few surprises, but not on NOD's part.
On the NOD32 website it says "Since the first submission of NOD32 for Virus Bulletin testing in May 1998, NOD32 system did not miss a single "In the Wild" virus in any of the tests" If you look at the tests it failed in April 2002 and November 2000. For the above statement to be tru did it fail these tests because of false positives?
For November 2000 issue take a look here http://www.virusbtn.com/magazine/archives/pdf/2000/200011.PDF search for page 18 For April 2002 here http://www.virusbtn.com/magazine/archives/pdf/2002/200204.PDF test starts at page 16, NOD32 at page 18 To make it short: In November 2000 NOD32 was too successfull - it did a real clean sweep plus one file more, which denied this time VB 100 In April 2002, Suse linux comparative, none VB has been awarded as none of the tested product has on access scanning part .
Thanks for clearing that up. I've been using NOD32 happily for a year now, I was just curious about those 2 tests.
