Kaspersky 2009 released!!!

From a performance perspective, 454 is running much better than the previous build. I had noticeable pauses on my system with previous builds - Those are now gone.

 

Im realy impressed about kaspersky heuristic!!!

today i have received about 206 vundo variants

he detect 151 of them with its signature and the rest 55 with its heuristic wich is good

Which level was heuristic at?

and i think that kaspersky heuristic will score higher than the last test of Av-comparatives du to the last heuristic update i think from 2 weeks ago

If it can detect all of them on only light imagine medium or deep!

Using only heuristics, from the av-comparative last test no, but using also HIPS and proactive defense yes(total around 83%, according to IBK).

Also consider that there have been several module updates, so we'll wait until November for the next proactive/retrospective Av-comparative test.

 

The best thing with KIS8.0 is the uninstal button..

KIS 8.0.0.454 it's like "plug and play" device!

 

I've realized since the release of v8, there have been heuristic updates almost daily. Looks like they're working harder on heuristics now, there were very few updates with v7.
Of course, with stronger heuristics, it wont surprise me if there are a few more FPs in AV-Comparative's future tests (until gradually more heuristically detected files have been whitelisted)... have seen a few more heuristic FPs recently, but this is expected.

 

I there any difference in version 357 with hotfix a,b,c and version 854 ? ?

The Dutch KIS en KAV 2009 is out now too. To my big disappointment they have brought out version 3.57 as new version... Not the 4.54 that is out at the moment. Really stupid!

KIS uses 3-5000 and 10-20000 kB for the two avp.exe:s for me, during normal operation.
