My windows vista is been attacked by trojan horse virus. Its eating my computerday by day. Is there any good antivirus to sweep away this virus. Or should i just format all my valuable documents. any suggestions regarding this would be great.

Try downloading avast free home edition, during install it will ask to schedule a boot time scan...select yes. should do the trick. Also many online scanners are available etc. Hope this was helpful:cool:

    Hello bmora96,

Please take a look at the following link below.

    https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showpost.php?p=1092173&postcount=4

1.) Download and run the following two free cleaning applications before performing any system scans.

CCleaner(http://www.ccleaner.com/);(Note: Do not use the registry cleaner/repair feature)
    ATF-Cleaner(http://www.atribune.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=25&Itemid=25 or http://www.majorgeeks.com/ATF_Cleaner_d4949.html)

2.) Temporarily disable "system restore" to clear out all of the previously made restore points and reenable it after performing all of the system scans.

3.) Run all of the listed scanners in "safe mode" with the exception of Prevx CSI.

    Hope this helps.

    Peace & Gratitude,
