    Hi optigrab,
Those that know are not telling. I just got impatient to learn if the key would work at all. I got the answer, and it was the right one for V6. It is hard to imagine that V7 will not be on the US market within a couple of weeks, but what do I knowo_O??

    Best,
    Jerry

Unless some major change of the marketing plan has happened, then i'm afraid that the marketing release in the US is more than two weeks away.

    Thanks, Don,
Since I found that my key works, I am content to wait for whatever time. I am finding that V6 is running well, and I figure that I am as safe with it as V7.

    Thanks again for the help.:thumb:

Thanks. Knowing the (rough) date makes waiting far easier.

cant let this thread die. I still think and have a good feeling that Kaspersky will do the right thing for us, when V7 is released. A real good feeling in them.;)

I just installed the latest KIS 7 and the Systweak key worked. :thumb: :thumb:

I am not sure why all would not work, but I am pleased that all is working well. Good for the three years. I guess the sky did not fall after all.:D

Maybe it is a time thing, and it might work in a day or so. Hopefully all will work.

    Regards,
    Jerry

Yes, it worked after I regenerated the keyfile from the activation code.

    Thank you all.

Look like the upgrading is by phase... so if it work for some of us here, it would work for all of us here... and Version 7 is like comet coming near to us...

    Watch out...

I also used the activaton code and user ID to get it to work. I didn't try the key file. (Yes, I am in the US). The last version I played with was the one prior to 124 (maybe 118 or 119).

Thanks, Paul. You got us started in the right direction. I was going to wait until V7 was on the market, but I am glad to get it sooner.:D

I had some problems with KAV 6 after MP1, and finally removed it. I did put KIS 6 on my laptop, and it worked well.
Subsequently, I put KAV 7 on my desktop, and now KIS 7 on the laptop. I believe the problems I experienced with V6 have been corrected, and I am very pleased with what I have experienced so far.

I did take the opportunity to test some other AVs. I found a few that worked well and in which I had confidence, including AntiVir Premium, F-Secure, NOD, and Avast.
While I could be satisfied with any of those, I like Kaspersky the best and am pleased that it is working well. With a year remaining on my KAV, and the three years on KIS 7, I don't intend to do any AV shopping for awhile.
I also have a boxed copy of KAV 6, and hope that in a year I can use that license to renew KAV.

    Regards,
    Jerry

Very interesting. The key I got when I registered the activation code would not work, but the activation code would. Oh well, I'm up and running. Good work to all. This was with 125, didn't try it with earlier versions (just using the activation code that is).
