It appears to be working now, I just tried the link. OOOPs spoke to soon only the zip files are available. Major Geeks has it http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4007.html.

I created my XP disk successfully using an HP/Compaq OEM CD. I downloaded the TI plugin from your website and ran autohelp.cmd, it successfully finds the serial, etc however when I return to the plugin I get the error that the plugin check failed and that I am missing files:\Program Files\Common Files\drivers\*.* ?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Update: I copied the drivers folder to that folder and reran autohelp. It finished. I boot into BartPE, I see the Acronis Tray Msg for like a sec, so fast I cant read what it says but then I cant figure out how to start True Image from within Bart PE.

Update 2: I can start TI if I navigate to the exe file directly. I don't see the system tray. I think that is my prioblem. Also, is TI supposed to be in the program menu?

The Plugin for Acronis' True Image Home 10.0 does not work without much editing of CMD scripts.

The fault is expecting the TrueImage10Home to be in the default
C:\Program Files location, nor recognizing that common files are in
    C:\Program Files\Common Files on a WinXP system.

On my home system its D:\TrueImage10Home for the program location, so major problems withs scripts.

Had to do manual sets of environmental to get it to work. Especially the GetFiles script, then manually run it to copy files to folder Files.

This needs to be fixed somehow, like asking the user where source files are.

Mustang is not currently maintaining his plugins due to lack of time. The plugin configuration only has to be run once. It works fine if the install is in the default location and you've found the work around. A forum search would have found this issue.

The AutoHelp.cmd searches the serial of TI in a wrong place, because of having it stored with the License Server, it won't be found next to True Image Workstation's registry entry (I think).
I am somewhat double-posting now, because I found this thread just now, I hope you will forgive me, but I think it's worth it for us.

    please have a look at:
    https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=178455

to get a detailed explanation of what happened to building the TI Workstation plug-in with your (mustang) patches.

The first replier should choose whether to reply here or under the link. I'll edit later to link up. Thank you.

If you search this forum with the advanced search facilities with keyword serial and user name mustang you will find a number of posts about inserting the serial number into the TI plugin. I am not familier with the vesion you are using and suggest you have a look at these posts or wait till someone with knowledge of your system comes along

I checked all these topics now, but none of them is handling the new ATI Version with License Server, and I think Mustang has to change its plugin-patches to work with that serial-registry-handling...

Mustang unfortunately is not maintaining his plugins right now. He does post here occasionally. Does Acronis include a BartPE plugin with the version your using? If so try that one.

Oh no! Mustang has pulled the BartPE plugin download page. There's nowhere to download his plugins now, and I'm looking for the TrueImage Home 9.0 3677 plugin. Can anyone attach it to a message here or provide an alternate download location?

    Thanks much.

    Dase,

I've posted the ones I have to a page on my website.

If anyone wants to send me a personal message and email me any of the others I can add them to the list. I assume this will be okay with mustang.

~ Mustang has decided to continue developing his plugins although, from now on they will only be available for a small fee - Menorcaman ~

I am trying to use the "Beginner's Guide to Creating a BartPE CD" for Version 10 of True Image.

I have successfully made one for TI9 several years back. I have winxppro sp2.

Following the guide I get to the slipstreaming step using combing xpsp2_en_x86.exe and I386. When I do that I see the action on the screen but finally end up with the following message:

    Setup
X Failed to copy some or all of the files necessary for integrated install.
    Please check that:
    a. No network or copy errrors occurred during the integration process
    b. The format of the deestination directory is correct.
the files to integrated must reside in an i386 and/or ia64 or nec98 dirctory.( i.e. for an i386 share ,k if typed "update /s:c:\cdshare", the files must be in the c:\cdshare\i386 directory).

I have repeated the procedure 4 times and each time I get this message. The only problem I can possibly see are two zip or cab files in the i386 directory.

    Any ideas please

Good News - Mustang's True Image 11 plugin now available

Mustang has decided to re-establish support/development of his plugins. However, from now on they will only be available on payment of a small fee (see http://www.mechrest.com/plugins/index.html).

I trust you all agree this is a very small price to pay for the service that Mustang provides to the Acronis community.

    Regards

Well done Mustang, at less than a UK £1 per download you won't be getting rich soon

Certainly not. After you figure out PayPal's cut on these small purchases, it gets even worse.

    Hello Menorcaman and Mustang,

I downloaded the instructions, the plugin, and the BartPEBuilder. I was able to create and use the BartPE boot disk to make a backup of my data files. I haven't tried a partition image yet as that is of secondary importance to protecting my data. I backed the data up onto a USB hard drive.

The instructions were clear, although they did require concentration and attention to detail.

Thank you so much for making this available. This represented a lot of hard work and time on your part, and I am grateful that I can benefit from that.

Does Mustang's Acronis TI 11 plugin work with any language version of TI or only with the English version?

It has only been tested with the English version.

EDIT: If you would like to test it with TI 11 in your language, please send me your email address in a Private Message.

    To All,

As of today, I have changed my website with regard to the Beginner's Guide to Creating a BartPE CD. The Guide will now be offered for sale at $1.99. This is necessary to keep the cost of the plugins to a very low level. It will also ensure the current plugins will be maintained and new plugins will be developed as needed. Another consideration in reaching this decision was based on the sales of the plugins during the first week. There were more than twice as many plugins downloaded as were sold. I had hoped that setting the price of the plugins so low would have kept this to a minimum.

    Thank you for your cooperation.

Mustang, I have today managed to scrape together the $1.99, and downloaded the Beginners Guide. One of the first things to do is find the I386 file. I did a search under Start-Search(I am using winxp media center edition which came on my emachine computer, model T5212, which I have had 9 mos) the search came up with 24 items. What do I choose from? If you wish, I can attach the search results in a reply.

Here's how the I386 folder looks on my HP laptop. You should see subfolders with the same names. If you don't find the I386 folder on your hard drive, see if you can find it on a recovery CD that came with the computer.

Mustang, thanks for helping me find I386. I now spent several hours, and I am at step 9 of your guide. Now I have a problem. when I type "bcd wxphome" in the command prompt, I get this msg: " bcd is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program, or batch file." C: is the main file I have been using. My CD drive is "I". Where do I go from here?

In Step 1, did you download and install the BCD Package?

There should be a file named bcd.cmd in the C:\BCD folder.

That error means you have not changed directories to BCD so Windows can not see the command. As long as you didn't delete anything, you should be able to pick right back up at step 9. Open a command prompt. You need to issue the change directories command first:

    cd \BCD

You should see the prompt change to C:\BCD>

    Now issue:

    BCD wxphome

Notice there are no quotes in the above commands. That may be your error. The process should start.
