    not easy to decide and claim that page spreading malware while its "download" leads to the original. and i dont see different evidence while the original is using "carbonads" "googletagmanager" and the fanpage "yandex" "webvisor" "googletagmanager" "googlesyndication" "google-analytics" "gstatic" - where all are blocked here by default (in several ways).

    Good point. Apart from that, the noteplus.plus disclaimer clearly states that "This is an unofficial fan website created for general information/educational purpose only." I cannot see any "malicious" activity there.

    currently not, but if had been settled in users head and enough hits it might change its purpose. anyhow, i filled out the form and let it go, fingers crossed it is minimal inserted in browsers block list (safe-list).
    vlc(dot)de and audacity(dot)de spreading also fake values, ublock is blocking these two pages by default
    -> "Badware risks"

    I still think it's a perfectly harmless website. But this may change, of course. On a side note, the tld plus is blocked here, just in case.

    @Buddel

    Code:

    Also, please consider submitting the imposter's URL to VirusTotal.com

    Why would someone pay Cloudflare's CDN prices just to imitate someone else's legitimate site?

    I have to agree with the original makers, this site can eventuelly be abused to spread infected versions of Notepad++. Supply chain attacks are quite common nowadays.
