I believe I have asked this before but I don't remember the answer. So here goes, when a member initiates a post and it has run its course who can remove it? If it cannot be removed by the originator it would be nice if it could be. Thanks in advance. John
John, only forum management can remove threads/posts; members can not. Members use the Report button feature to ask for removal, giving a reason why, and it's up to our management's decision whether the topic is closed and/or removed. It's always a case by case decision. Hope this answers your question.
Thanks for replying. I know there is a reason why only forum management can close or remove threads/posts. However, it would be nice if an originator of a post could delete it themself rather than referring it to management for removal. Just my humble opinion. Take care. John
John, you already have 5 days to edit/delete a post made by you. But if someone quotes your post in response, their post is not deleted so your original post contents will remain visible, even if you deleted yours. Just FYI.
