Petrovic connects Zemana to MS, and MS = Privacy intrusion.

But about Zemana using MS server, it's no surprise already since Zemana is open that it uses MS Azure (MS' cloud) with its cloud technology.

They are most certainly not the only company utilising corporate servers.
    Thanks for clarity guys :thumb:

ZAM detected as Trojan.Win32.Delf.efbx by Kaspersky, even though marked as "trusted" by its KSN. :D
It may probably be just a FP detection, but Kaspersky is still not removing its detection, even though it's already reported yesterday.

For me, ZAM seldom gives a false positive. "Seldom" is fine. To strive for "Never" can be dangerous.

An OVER-zealous crusade to eliminate false positives can emasculate an otherwise great security program.

I just updated HMP (Oct 15th) and it is still on the same build as the one making the false detection (3.7.14 build 280). Running a scan now and it's just detected ZAM as a trojan. So if it has been fixed, then the fix has not been released yet.

Hi anon. I've been away a few days and have only just seen your reply. It wasn't the installer that was being flagged - from memory it was a ZAM update. I'm just running a HMP scan now to see what happens.

Well that's interesting - no detection! And there was no update for HMP on launching it tonigh t- I'm still on the same build I ran 2 days ago when I got the trojan result. It must have been fixed at Zemana's end rather than HMP's. Though I definitely was still getting a detection 5 days after the reported fix!

All sorted now so that's good. :)
