Okay so yeah, could really kick my own *** for this rook mistake yet, here I am. So paragon software, I used the partitioning function and of course, had issues with power to the computer as it was doing it’s magic. So now this comes up: “Interrupted operation; insert the recovery CD or other recovery media and reboot your PC.” Now it looks like everything is there, the two partitions and files, but I’m not sure how corrupted everything is, or if it’s simply a matter of the MBR or startup files being fragged. Either way I’d like to be able to get in and or at least get access to the files. Now I saw an old thread around these parts and tried to follow the directions, using the paragon recovery software, but naturally had issues. So I’m wondering if I should continue down that route and or if there’s another solution? This is with W7, and remember when I first tried the recovery software there wasn’t an option for that. Either way I’m typing a lot here so I’ll just stop and thank y’all very much in advance!
I don't know if you solved your problem but if you looking to recover files you can burn a live linux disk like Fatdog64 to pull the data. Or you could use UBCD and the available Parted Magic to run Testdisk and see if you can recover the partition table but I would pull your data first. Parted Magic can also be used to recover your data to an external drive.
someone know what happen when changing from fat32 to ntfs occur a error because no there enough space? after that the data pendrive32 gigas no work.ihave videos and i cant open it.how revert the operation? thanks
I think your only chance at recovering your files is to do a scan with software like Easeus Data Recovery. http://www.easeus.com/datarecoverywizard/free-data-recovery-software.htm
ihave the files in pendrive, but the videos no has preview and i cant play it.that sofware is when the files is hidden or lost
Once possible solution, although not optimal, is to delete any partitions currently on the drive and see if Testdisk can recover the old ones. If you attach the drive to another computer using an enclosure or adapter how is the drive detected in Disk Management? It's possible it could be detected as RAW or not initialized.
Great, that's all I look for is a way to trouble shoot my way out of the problem, if it's even possible!
