I am confused. How can transfer rate be faster when tested against a Hub and on-board USB port?. Seems like data transfer is faster via Hub. I have thought anything that is directly connected to anything would be faster.

Not enough info, Oleg... What version USB, is hub in same port as the one being tested, what speeds have you observed?

It's Intel USB 3.0 extensible host controller port with up to date divers. Yes Hub was plugged into the same port being tested. I have observed read and write speeds. As for the hub brand name and model it's ORICO H4013-U3-BK USB 3.0 4 Ports Hub. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817195001
    Benchmarking USB Flash Drive.

    Intel controller: 32-38 Mbits
    With hub: 38-43 Mbits

Turns out one of Flash Drives is defective. It was kept disconcerting my other storage as well.
