I'm still looking for a way to completely disable UAC on Windows 10 and still being able to open Metro Apps. More, some scenarios require us to have full admin rights, without any prompt or request for elevation. Windows 10 has a lot of limitations for who wants to run applications directly. Just try to open an executable from a network share: you'll have to right click and choose run as administrator. Does anyone found a way to make Windows 10 really behave like you are the admin? How have you done that?
Just enable the super-admin account but at your own risks. Personally, i run Win10 as SUA and i dont mind typing my password everytime...
I hope you have backups or some kind of virtualization going. For that kind of usage I would probably use a virtual machine. That said, the above mentioned super admin account is probably what you want. Be sure to give it a password, by default it does not have one.
This is mentioned on a lot of sites, doesn't work like expected. We still have to right click and run as administrator for performing common tasks, like run an exe from a mapped drive, for instance. The drive/domain was added to trusted domains, of course.
Because it is a security measure of Windows. Nobody should freely execute a program from the network, since the network could be compromised. Ask yourself : do you click on any exe located on a website? I guess, no. Internet is just a huge network. Don't sacrifice security over convenience.
Not sure about the mapped drives question but since the thread title mentioned Metro Apps I'm pretty sure those aren't part of the Server OSes so I have doubts that a Server OS will solve your problem. If you are mapping drives and running as full admin, consider everything on them lost if you get any ransomware.
