Surely VS ought to be able to determine that a Windows process is legitimate on its own without user intervention?

Yeah, it would be a great idea either way for Vlad to review the code... we just have to keep in mind that he is extremely busy with a lot of other things, so we need to utilize his time wisely. BTW, VS is still freezing, so hopefully he can look at that soon. Thank you!

About the commandline that hamo initially posted about...

Yeah, that is one command line out of probably 100+ that seems to never work correctly, so there is some kind of bug... we just need to figure out what triggers this command line, then it will be an easy fix. Thank you!

Back from a 2 week holiday. There are a lot of new posts in this thread...
@VoodooShield Dan, what version of VoodooShield do you want me to test with for the freezing issue 3.08 or 3.30?

Since VS is still freezing surely this would be an appropriate use of Vlad's time? I'm sure you would like it solved permanently, just as those who have had VS freezing would like it resolved.

Thanks :thumb: I did a clean install of this version of VoodooShield and see how it runs together with the new Bitdefender Free Beta on Windows 10.

If i look at the screens at #11636:
The VoodooAI wants to scan dismhost.exe in c:\windows\temp but it can't (?)
    But it doesn't freeze.

You would as your trying to run in the user space Desktop. Now if your running from C:\Program Files then there would be no issue and you should disable VS when installing programs and or updates for that same reason.
