    Will do

    EDIT: Here's the newest line I do believe that just happened
    SbieCtrl_HideMessage=2214,bits

    The one you told me to insert I added chrome behind it which obviously didn't work
    SbieCtrl_HideMessage=2214,bits [Chrome]

    It seems to be alerting every 15 min, so I'll report back if it happens again.
    Thanks

    Yes, you shouldn't add sandbox name.
    As for the other two I gave to you, add the name:
    SbieCtrl_HideMessage=2219,SandboxieDcomLaunch.exe [Chrome]
    SbieCtrl_HideMessage=2220,SandboxieDcomLaunch.exe [Chrome]

    Looking at your signature, maybe Zemana AntiMalware is interfering. Why don't you have a ride at SBIE forums where you can find a thread/s about Antiviruses and SBIE, not all of them are compatible. I haven't read those threads so I can't tell...

    Overkill, I think you should unhide all Sandboxie messages, and start over. Perhaps that fixes the issue you are experiencing. After clicking Forget hidden messages in Sandboxie control>Configure, all messages you hidden will show up again. And then start hiding them as they appear. I noticed that for some people the messages you are getting for Bits in the Chrome sandbox don't hide no matter what. And the only thing you can do is untick Drop rights.

    The error you are getting for Bandicam might means that the sandbox is corrupted, perhaps try a new sandbox for it after unhidding messages. It might also mean that you need to untick Drop rights for the program to work properly in the sandbox. If you are installing it sandboxed, you definitively need to untick Drop rights.

    Bo, unhiding the messages, starting over and hiding one by one seems to be working...I also unticked drop rights for Bandicam. Thanks :thumb:

    How to permanently hide SBIE Message 2314... it seems to generate for every exe, and clicking hide each time just adds another entry in User section. Is there a way to make this universal across all exe's, without hiding "all" messages?

    eg: this is for all messages... SbieCtrl_HideMessage=*
    what I am after is one that looks like SbieCtrl_HideMessage=2314,[executable name here]

    SbieCtrl_HideMessage=2314,* and SbieCtrl_HideMessage=2314,*.exe does not work...

    Marzametal, try the setting below.

    SbieCtrl_HideMessage=2314

    I dont use it but works for blocking message 2314 globally. But by the way, I don't know why you getting message 2314 all the time. I run a lot of programs sandboxed in both of my computers and I only get that message for FoxitReaderUpdater.exe, I hide it and dont see it again.

    Thanks for the info, if I try what I was trying yesterday again, I will keep it in mind.

    I was mucking around with a sandbox, forced download folder into it, and blocked access to C and D drives. My goal was to sandbox anything that trickles out of that directory and deny any contact with file space, after I perform a quick recovery before deleting sandbox contents. I wanted it to be a 2nd fail-safe for when I disable Software Protection Policy, for whatever reason.

    EDIT:
    Brilliant! Thanks Bo, damn comma borked my efforts... you're a superstar. One item ticked off of my to-do list, hehe...

    Hi Moose. What is the problem?

    If the Sandboxie installer is being flagged as malware, it is a false positive and you can safely ignore it. Usually one or two scanners at VT flag the SBIE installer as malware. Right now, something called McAfee-GW-Edition is the only one doing it for the 5.11.7 installer.

    If you are upgrading Sandboxie by running the installer over the top and VS is blocking the installation, you need to disable VS temporarily. To upgrade SBIE, it is recommended you do that, including disabling antiviruses, other security programs, otherwise, the installation of the SBIE driver gets blocked sometimes.

    You should also report it to VS so hopefully they can do something about it.

    The scanners that usually flag the SBIE installer at VT are Rising and Jiangmin, its been like that for a while. As of today, the combined installer for 5.11.7 is being flagged by McAfee-GW-Edition and the separate 32 bits version installer of 5.11.7 (the one I normally use) is flagged by McAfee-GW-Edition and Rising. I know its gonna happen, so it doesn't make me blink.

    You have been using Sandboxie for a while now, you know of this false positives from before, Right? dont let VT give you stress. :)

    started using this for first time since early this morning on cybefox (firefox x64 port)

    Seems pretty good, no performance hit, no instability. I whitelisted my ramdisk and the profile folders, rest are isolated.

    So it drops cyberfox to untrusted "and" isolates it, nice. I found when dropping cyberfox to untrusted or low via icacls manually it had issues, but not whilst in sandboxie.
