What does everyone think of iVPN, they seem pretty good to me. Mullvad also seems solid.

Those are both good VPN services. So are AirVPN, BolehVPN and PIA.

Private internet access (PIA) client never worked for me in Windows using AppGuard. Worse than that, it kept charging my credit card when I thought I had cancelled it. Must have been at least 3 months before I noticed it was still charging. Not so good when you want to try something and it does not work.

If there was an option to buy it only for 1 month without reoccurring charges and I missed that option I don't know.

afaik, there's no other way than to cancel recurring payment after you subscribe to their service.

iVPN has their own multi-hop, this sounds nice since most people are too lazy to setup two different providers for that.

    multihopping's not worth the hassle.
nested chains in vm's is the way to go.

That sounds like the same thing but done differently, if not how is it different?

iVPN has multi-hop right in their app, so it's just a couple of clicks. Other providers I've tried have nothing like that.

Insorg does too. Maybe a few others.

I like better using nested chains of VPNs from multiple providers. Adversaries would need to work through the chains, provider by provider.

Only maintain registration 1day ip connection.

that alone explains why they're not among wilders users' top picks.
not to mention their monthly traffic quota.

They seem reasonable. Lots of servers, some in interesting places. Low price. And 2TB per month is plenty for general browsing. Not for torenting, however.
    What does this mean?

from what i understand of his post, he's referring to vpn.ac's logging policy. they keep connection logs for 1 day.

I'm evaluating between airvpn and IVPN.
Airvpn seems fine, has an active forum, mostly good reviews and many servers. IVPN have fewer servers, you do not have a blog or forum is very active, but they seem more reliable in the sense that they have fewer servers and I'm pretty sure they are dedicated and not virtual. You which of the two services and advise me in airvpn IVPN?
Sorry for my bad English, I use a translator. Cheers

I get excellent service from both. Depends upon what you need to do and where you are located sometimes. One has a linux client and one doesn't if you are using Linux, etc....

AirVPN is torrent-friendly, while iVPN is not. Both have impeccable privacy credentials. iVPN offers a few two-hop routes.

There is some controversy about iVPN changing corporate location from Malta to Gibraltar. Gibraltar isn't subject to EU customer verification requirements for VAT calculation. But it is subject to some UK laws, relies on the UK for defense, etc, etc. But AirVPN is incorporated in Italy, which is arguably no less under NSA etc monitoring. I wonder how AirVPNis dealing with EU customer verification requirements for VAT calculation.

I wonder why Perfect Privacy is so rarely mentioned when comparing VPNs.

Most of VPNs say they don't log but I am sceptical about that. Perfect Privacy team says they operate everything on RAMdisks so there are no logs.

    Any experiences with them? Mirimir?

I've never used them, as I recall.

  21. The reason most people don't mention Perfect-Privacy.com is that their owner is a known neo-nazi skinhead and has been arrested before by German police.

I think Perfect-Privacy is a fine service and have used it before many times. But it's whether you can swallow the owners political views is the problem.

In my experience, extreme ideologies of various sorts are not uncommon among VPN providers ;) But I tend to promote the basic "it's none of your business" sort. I'm pretty cool with the "stuff wants to be free" folks, too.

Do you mean a VPN client, or a VPN server?

OpenVPN is the best choice for PCs. The safest option in Linux is using the system openvpn service plus iptables rules that allow traffic through the VPN (tun0) but allow only connection to the VPN server on the physical network interface (eth0 or wlan0). See https://github.com/adrelanos/vpn-firewall

I love Mullvad. The no fuzz GUI has exactly what I need and I use it on Mac, PC and Linux. Sometimes simultaneously. Only bummer is that Netflix has their US server IP blocked now, but I guess that counts for all VPN providers sooner or later.
