OPFW pro (and OSS) is going to be supported, patched if needed, and it's(OSS only -anti-malware signatures), 'improvenet' rules and presets, etc. updated until 31 DEC16. after they then stop, the firewall modules, hips, ad blocking, will continue to work but will not update the previosly periodically updated variable files. you will still be able to write your own firewall rules, use your own IP blocklists. it will be adviseable to turn off the anti-malware parts of OSS and replace them with a good third party anti-malware of your choice. i use ESET Smart Security myself, with IT'S firewall turned off as you will not need two firewalls and i see no need to stop using OPFW for the next few years. if it becomes unuseable, i can always turn on eset's, or switch to a new product. i'm not sure if OSS will nag you unbearably about overly old update files, but you should be able to turn off the nags when you turn off the antimalware part of oss.

p.s. - we are not yet sure what happens to the user forum after the end of the year.

I finally got the chance to migrate to Kaspersky yesterday. Today when I went to agnitum website, it showed:

    The site was closed.

    RIP...
