Hi there, We already have planned updates that will bring improvements for the first issue you've mentioned, but it will take a bit to roll them out to Heimdal PRO customers. As for the second part, I couldn't tell you why this happens (we haven't experienced this issue at all with our users in the past 3 months), but my colleagues from support surely can. As I've stated here before, I cannot offer technical support, but I can share whatever information I have that I believe would benefit the community. For technical challenges, my colleagues are more apt to be contacted at support@heimdalsecurity.com.
As always, I really appreciate the feedback, but I'd like to share something on the subject. I know that this may sound unlikely, but the problems we've had reported here, in the Wilders community, have only rarely popped up from our over 350.000 users. It may be that the average user does not use as many security settings and products that can conflict with each other as the users in this forum do, or it may be simply that the users here really know how to test Heimdal to the limit (which is great!). It's simply that we haven't had major issues with none of Heimdal's features, especially for our corporate customers, which use Heimdal of thousands of endpoints. Consequently, there is no reason to pull the product from production, as my colleagues from the web development team would certainly attest. I cannot share more insider details than I have, for obvious reasons, but keep in mind that no product is perfect, and trust that we're working very hard to fix whatever issues arise and offer a stable, reliable product, Thank you!
Hi there, I completely understand your concerns. We're going to roll out major improvements to the product in the coming months and ensure that it's as stable as possible at all times. I hope you'll still be open to giving Heimdal PRO a try. Until then, you can read on our blog about some of the threats that Heimdal PRO can protect you against. If you have any questions, feel free to PM me. Thanks!
Can anyone else confirm if http://notblockedbyheimdalsecurity.com/ is no longer blocked in v2.0.30? If so what Windows version are you using? My softs are as per signature. Trying to see a pattern here, the site was blocked for me when it was first published on Jan 27, but not now (... as well as sites being logged but not blocked). Wondering if it is a Win 8.1/10 issue (then surely it would have emerged among their 350,000 users and corporate endpoints), or something more esoteric. I emailed support and they have responded already, saying it is working their side. I am thinking of reverting to v1 till the issue is resolved.
I'm running Windows 10 and according to the website, I am NOT protected; yet, I am running Heimdal Pro v2.
Thanks all. So it is working for two of us, and not for four. So not an isolated case. And in my case it is not working, whereas it was two weeks ago. @Andra - I have passed this info on to support (Bogdan). They need to investigate.
I was getting it blocked the other day not now. I am running 10 home 64bit and 2.031 Beta. IPVP 6 unticked. Update one: after flushing it blocks it again. Anybody else seeing this? Update Two: Surfed a few sites , rebooted and the site is not blocked again. Looks like in my case I have to do a flush every time I reboot in order for the page to be blocked. Is there a command you can add to your software to auto flush on reboot?
Thank you very much for your openness and for actively helping us improve Heimdal! It's really great to be able to talk to everyone here and get so much feedback.
Just updated to v2.1.1 BETA. The site is now being blocked. Just a heads up for others: If you have Patching System set to Off, it will be set to On again.
Not that I know of. Mine just got pushed through less than an hour ago. Coincidentally, AG was set to allow installs (not sure if it would otherwise block it with my settings), and I still had to click install mode with ERP.
Encouraged by this I reinstalled Heimdal just now (V2.0.29), entered my licence key, unticked the software I didn't want updated, flushed the DNS cache and rebooted, only to be confronted with this! UPDATE: Contacted support and prog now working and updated to 2.1.1. Website blocking now working. Good effort, Heimdal.
