I'm behind a NAT + SPI firewall and I do regular image backups but my current security software setup below:

    Win10 x64 | Norton Security | MBAM Premium | HitmanPro.Alert | VoodooShield | SpywareBlaster

Possibly a little overkill but everything seems to be playing nicely at the moment.

Read quite a bit in the uBlock Origin thread, and it looks like Disconnect is obsolete indeed when used with uBlock Origin + Disconnect filter lists. I added the Disconnect lists to uBlock Origin and uninstalled Disconnect. I might look into uMatrix later, because part of the advice in the uBlock Origin thread was loading the Disconnect filters in uMatrix as well.

    Thanks for pointing this out!

Indeed I do use uMatrix. If you try it out and want to use both uBlockO and uMatrix and want to keep the Disconnect lists, IIRC the recommended configuration is as follows:
Have Basic tracking list by Disconnect ticked, and optionally adding simple_ad.txt as custom in uBlockO.
And the Disconnect simple_malware and simple_malvertising URLs added as custom hosts in uMatrix.
That's how I have it, following advice on this topic at the time.

Yeah I think they make a good combination, if maybe minimal in the "other stuff" department ;). In the past year I tried a number of times running HitmanPro.Alert with Sandboxie, without success. A few weeks ago things finally clicked, and now they are running smoothly together.:)

What was the snag with ESET? It seems to have the best or at least "bug free" secure online banking option. How was McAfee? Tnx
