I want to enter DNS on mobile for my wifi connection. So I selected static option & filled all the fields but DNS has only 1 field so I have entered primary DNS, how to enter alternate DNS on the same field after primary DNS? Comma only or Comma & space or Semi colon only or Semi colon & space, etc...
Are you talking about iOS? That would be a comma followed by a space: 8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4 Android should have 2 separate fields.
I tried on iPhone 4. After comma when I press space nothing happens & if after comma I type alternate DNS it appears with a big space i.e 8.8.8.8,----8.8.4.4 (---- is to show big space).
@yesnoo I would suggest configuring your router which provides your WiFi to push the DNS servers to your PCs, laptop, mobile phones, etc. on your network. That way all devices will pull in the custom alternate DNS servers.
Ok I got it. After comma you have to press space once...nothing will happen but when you will enter DNS space is there. NOTE - If you will press space twice, thrice, etc... that much space will be there. So press space only once. WildByDesign, I have configured my router. But if I check my PC with ipconfig /all...DNS shown is 192.168.2.1 & not configured ones. I have to manually enter the DNS on network adapters properties too then ipconfig /all shows configured DNS.
