I've tried numerous email clients, including the above mentioned, and I have to say that Microsoft Outlook is still the best.
By the way. POP Peeper is an amazing free email checker and some more.

I used Incredimail - ya, bugged, ya, I check it with firewall and HIPS, so it can't do what it wants ;)- I'm thinking to change, but I would want another email client that was a bit customizable: skins, themes... Some suggestion ?

This probably won't help if you don't like ThunderBird, but I use FossaMail, which is basically a TB clone which claims to be optimized for Windows. By the developers of the Pale Moon browser.

Like I say, if you don't like TB you probably won't like FM, unless you just want to get away from Mozilla or are concerned about their plans for TB.

Hi mantra, I use MS Outlook only because I need the entire MS Office suite for file-compatibility with my work associates. It's not free (as far as I know it was never free), but I do find Outlook to be a very capable and robust email client.

Re Mailbird, my wife has been using Mailbird Lite (freeware) for about a year and she really likes it. The Lite version is limited to 3 mail accounts but otherwise it seems to work well, has a modern (customizable) GUI, pretty good spam filtering and responsive support (bugs have been addressed in a timely manner),

No, rarely use email these days, but i heard good words from others who use it, one thing that's lacking from this client though is that there's no support for IMAP yet.

I have used many and have settled on Thunderbird. Works well for me and has power if I need it - unlike many others.

Hmmnm --- I cleaned mine up awhile back. Had ~ 4,000 in the InBox. Not slow at all. Do you ever clean up the Sql data bases it uses - called Compressing I think. I use SpeedyFox which works with FireFox, Chrome and Thunderbird.

I cannot confirm this at all. I'm using it with 5 mail accounts - 4 of them POP3 - and mails going back to 1999 (and previously also as my RSS reader with many feeds) without any problems. Note, though, that I changed the storage format from mbox to maildir which is superior.
