You are correct, it's only the Antivirus version (which I use) of the MR1 16.0.1.445 Final that's available for direct download.

The installers were removed from the server (again).

 

I'm not surprised. From what I have read on other forums there are still issues and they keep moving the installers around. I'm not gonna worry about it until they officially release it, and maybe not then either. I uninstalled KIS today to give a go at another product I have and am not regretting it.

Installed again now that it is official. Liking it so far. I would uninstall any previous versions if it were me. An upgrade might work fine but why risk ANY issue with it.

 

Yes new install, remove previous version first.

 

So it won't update/upgrade true automatic updates?

 

I don't know really atm. If you want it now, a new install is what the guys at KAV forum recommend.

Everything seems to be working correctly.

 

I am using Windows 10 x64 (KIS 2016 MR1) and I am not seeing this warning. I wil reboot my machine again and see if anything happens.

 

I did find it but I really had to dig to get to it. I have no idea what it should mean to me. Same here though, everything seems to be working correctly.

 

It only happens on installation. Afterward it doesn't crop up.
klhk.sys happily installed though, so very likely nothing to be alarmed, just odd.

how stable is Kaspersky these days? Last version I used was 2012 I think. I had quite a few of crashes at the time and it was quite heavy. I have always liked Kaspersky as a company and they are always fast at responding to samples, fp etc.

 

It is realy great and light , also very stable.

 

I tested now one week, it works well, it's practically the same engine so no limitation as within the AV. I also not got any advertisements or anything other to complain about. Hopefully it will be avbl. officially avl. for all + no activation restrictions you could say goodby to Avira or Avast free products.

 

Agree with that. I have it installed on one of my computer and I don't see any slow down.
