    Portable version doesn't work either.
Could you provide me a link for your previous version (Lite installer) please.

No, I only fixed Mister X' YouTube URL.
I did not have that issue that Mister X had with SUMo Lite 4.2.0.292.
But I don't use AppGuard, nor do I use NoVirusThanks EXE Radar Pro, so I can't rule out the possibility that one of those interfered with SUMo installation on Mister X' system.

    P.S.
With SUMo Lite 4.2.0.292 the no scan request after first run following update bug seems to be fixed.
Perhaps that issue was somehow connected to bug 0003257, and fixed with fixing 0003257?

Well, according to the video, it looks like if if was SUMo that crashes.... but obviously it is not.
    I'll add some instrumentation.

Sorry, i don't have any copy of the previous installers.
    3 suggestions :
    - When downloading 4.2.0 "portable" : does it works ?
    - When using 4.2.0 installer : do you have the runtime error if you UNcheck "launch SUMo" on the very last screen ?
    - When using 4.2.0 installer : do you have the runtime error if you disable AdGuard / NoVirusThanks ?

Thanks for info, you're probably right.
    Indicated as "resolved" in 4.2.1

FYI whenever I installed your previous versions I lowered AG and ERP guard as usual with no issues at all. Now answering your suggestions:
    - No it doesn't, I told you in a previous post.
    - Yes
    - Yes

FWIW I use both AppGuard and EXE Radar Pro and have not encountered this 217 runtime error.

I know because as I already said, I've never had this runtime error with previous SUMo versions, just the last one.

This is maybe due to the change of JCL / JVCL version + spcific issue on your system.
Weird that no boby elsa reported any runtime 217 neither with SUMo nor any other JCL/JVCL based Delphi software.

Have you scanned your registry for error (CCleaner) ?

Yes but I haven't touched it or "fix errors" if you like. I just use ccleaner for files but registry cleaning.

May i send you a "troubleshooting" 4.2.x compiled with the "4.1" JCL libraries in order to check if it's the root cause ?

Does this one (pre-4.2) work on your system : http://kcsoftwares.com/beta/sumo_test.exe

Hi Kyle, awaiting news on this matter... thanks.
Btw I'm using Windows Embedded 8.1 Pro x64, perhaps it misses some features of other editions regarding these JCL libraries?

    No news so far.
I'll report to the JCL dev team... maybe they already have a workaround.
You're right, this might be due to Win 8.1 Embedded. May I know on which device you get it running ?
Do you face the same issues on other devices ?
Does anyone have the opportunity to test on another 8.1 embedded device too ?

Are you getting the same crash with DUMo v2.3.2 ? (already built with the same libraries) : http://www.kcsoftwares.com/?dumo

    Yes I am.

    PC desktop.

I don't use any other devices.

Nope. But I'm going to try on a VM, good idea.

Also I set up a VM with Windows 8.1 Pro x64 ES (Spanish) and it worked!
Both SUMo and DUMo installed without runtime error so definitely problem has to do with Embedded edition.
If you need a link and SHA-1 for Windows Embedded 8.1 Industry Pro x64 just pm me...
I assume you're going to run some tests on that platform are you?
