I am so happy one of the original AV I beta tested for everybody complained about here in the early days now has an uprising. Norton has been there from day one.

I just received 22.5.5.15 by Live Update.

    No announcement at this point.

Thank you very much Krusty, your response was very useful!

I am surprised how well Norton performs and protects - I haven't used the (home user) products for at least 10 years.

I just got it as well, though honestly I didn't have any problems with the previous version of it.

    Norton support is top notch.

Bought a new subscription of Norton Security Deluxe from Amazon, but I did not know before hand that they only automatically roll the remaining days on old subscription to new subscription if you buy directly from Norton. Contacted tech support through chat, and they had my remaining days on old subscription added to new subscription in about five minutes.

Anyone have Comcast Xfinity internet? I'm wondering if their version of Norton has been updated to the current Norton version, or if it is the last version. They are calling it "Norton Security Suite" on their website.

New Key from Amazon or from Norton starts new subscription period. New Key drops remaining days. So, wait until close to expire and/or contact Support to add remaining days.
Renewal direct from Norton uses same key extending remaining days with new term. Note: Direct-renewal / Auto-renewal usually adds a convenience up-charge. Shop around, purchase Key anytime from reputable dealer.

Picked up Norton Internet Security Deluxe on black friday. So far it is going well. I like that it is fast. My only gripe is that tool bar on chrome. It looks ancient to me. Am I missing something? BD just uses a plug in and does not need to take screen real estate. Never have used Norton before and was not expecting an old tool bar.

Hmm, not NSS user so, not for sure certain. Other than NSS has been ISP brand for retail N360.
Norton current retail offering (US) is Norton Security in Standard, Deluxe, Premium.
Norton Security Suite has been the ISP brand from before legacy retail N360 evolved into Norton Security.
What does Norton's control panel display...?
What's displayed with Windows Control Panel > Programs...?
    Do you find version 22.5.5.15

I'll confirm the version number tonight, but I thought it was something close to that. The install process was a bit of a joke. First you downlown a small "Xfinity" installer file. Then it downloads a folder with Norton, which was about 135meg if I recall. Then after installing norton, I had to run the in-program updater about 4-5 more times to get it up to the latest version. I don't understand why companies can't keep their main installers up-to-date.

As for the program, is runs very light. Like it so far.

That toolbar button can be hidden. Right click the button, and then select hide button.

You might have to right click, and minimize the tool bar into a button first, and then hide button. Been a while since I did it, but the toolbar and the toolbar button can be completely removed from the screen, and it will be still enabled in the extension list with an option there to show button.

How do I return the Norton toolbar after clicking on X? It doesn't delete or disable the extension and I see no option to show the toolbar. I'm using Google Chrome. See attached.

It has the little arrow to hide but it always returns. Does not stay hidden unfortunately. Wonder if it might be because of 64 bit chrome?

Try clicking the Norton icon on the top right of Chrome.

Is Norton still opting out of test like before ? or did they get back on board with that ? Sorry not been around the forums in years, my info is kind of out of date.

Just don't use the plugins. I disabled them.
