Awwwwww... <jeeeesh...> The last time there was a name discussion for this product it was brutal... and that was when they were looking for new ideas. Now they're gonna give us a name... and probably half the users won't like it :ouch:

I guess I can just hope we won't go off on a name tangent this time (you won't be able to change it anyway, folks), and instead, concentrate on whether the newly released product is really better than the previous one.

Anyway (before it starts)... I personally like "Herbert's FlashBack!"

Hahaha. There will be two new names. One to replace AX64, and another to replace Time Machine.

We're bracing ourselves for the flak when we make the announcement. :ouch:

Now that's another low blow by Apple, the richest of patent trolls, oops I mean "enforcers".

And I thought for sure the new name would be something like THE FROG (I would have said "The Rollback Frog" but I don't think anyone wants an Apple type patent issue with that guy).

Good to hear waj, I have my fingers crossed for you guys. IMO this software is needed. MR6 is great and works as advertised but its more complicated than many PC users are willing to deal with (I tried to convince a few friends to use it but when they heard they had to do set-up etc they balked - these are folks who I had gotten to use AX64 v1 and they have stuck with it. I would love to to get them use the new version if it functions as I hope it will).

    @Stode

That's a adorable name. Maybe we should make a mascot called "Rollie".

I could care less about about the name. I'm fine ....as long as I can get it to work correctly--which hasn't happened yet.

    *possibly offensive word removed

I don't even cuss or use foul language anywhere, but my apologies. Edited as it was, however, it looked like I did curse. But thank you for not wanting this forum to degenerate as some forums have. I deeply appreciate polite discussion here.

A gentlemen labelled "Anonymous" has sent a just sent a third mail asking for support via our support desk. We are reaching out to him as we very much want to resolve his issues.

You are certainly most, would call it...saintly! When the person refuses even to identify himself?

Uhh when is this expected to be released? What is a fortnight. I purchased V1 and V2 will this be V3 and if so what will be the cost? Will you have "standard" and "Professional" or just one edition for sale, if both what is the price for either one? Thanks.

    Hi guys,

Release is very soon. The build is actually already ready. We need to wait on driver signing from Microsoft which may take a few days.

The price will be the same as it is on ax64.com.

    Thanks guys,

    Waj

rodneym, the following will ans the rest of your questions.

It was later clarified that it will be a free upgrade for V2 license holders (but not V1 holders).

Will there be a demo try before you buy version of V3?
I still hold out hope for this. I just can't seem to give up on it.
I am still looking for a real alternative for RRX.

MB, their new "imminent" release with the Native NT restore function won't be a v3... it'll be a v2 update. If you have a v2 license, it's yours for the taking. If you only have a v1 license, the v2 TRIAL will be available. If you've already used up your v2 TRIAL, contact me via PM and I should be able to help with that.

When answering the young man's question, you might also have asked him why uhh (variant of umm, perhaps) was required to begin the sentence.
