Thanks for the feedback, Rasheed! We'll make sure to adjust this, so everyone can read the text at their own pace.
Hi Paul! We're currently not blocking this website. Do you get the Heimdal block page or what was the exact issue you encountered? Let me know so I can further check with the team if necessary. Thank you!
Hello! First of all, thank you for the question. I don't know if you have had the opportunity to see the new website, where we've improved the information pool about Heimdal PRO. If you have a chance, check it out: http://heimdalsecurity.com/. Second of all, it's very important to know that Heimdal PRO is not an antivirus and does not behave like an AV product. Heimdal PRO is an AV supplement, working proactively to protect your PC. That means that the intelligence behind our product is constantly increased to protect users. What we do is verify the destination to check whether it's malicious or not, keeping infections from happening. Traditional AV products work reactively and we all know that they are struggling to keep malware definitions up to date. We do not rely on definitions, but rather on our knowledge of the cyber criminal infrastructure. Here are some examples that may help you get a better idea of what type of infections Heimdal is focused on: https://heimdalsecurity.com/blog/security-alert-new-ransomware-campaign-has-0-detection/ Moreover, we ensure that security critical software is patched, to block security holes and prevent cyber criminals from exploiting them. I hope this answers your question. If not, I'll be happy to come back with further explanations. Thanks for taking the time to read this!
Hi Paul! I'm glad things worked out. Sorry I wasn't here to catch the issue when you came across it, but we're working hard on releasing the new Heimdal PRO, so that's why I've been MIA. Let me know if you stumble upon any other issues and I'll be happy to help. Thank you!
Thank you for the feedback, Jeam! Indeed, Heimdal Free and Heimdal PRO are not yet fully compatible with Windows 10, but they will soon be, as soon as we'll officially release the new Heimdal PRO. If you're interested in testing it firsthand, you are welcome to join our beta testing program!
We really appreciate the feedback, Peter! Thanks for giving Heimdal PRO a chance and let us know if there's ever anything we can help with.
Hi there! Thanks for taking the time to read more about Heimdal PRO and for giving it a try. If you believe you've found a bug, please contact us at support@heimdalsecurity.com and we'll be happy to help with additional information or solutions to any problems you may encounter. As for the issues with Windows 10, they will be solved once the new Heimdal PRO will be officially released. In the meanwhile, you can be one of the first to test it by joining our beta program!
Thank you very much for the feedback, Securon! Enjoy Heimdal's protection and just know that we're around if you ever need us.
Hello! Thank you for notifying us of this. We'll get in touch with their team to see why this type of analysis appeared, because our website is 100% secure and we pay very special attention to keeping it so. Thank you!
Hello everyone! Sorry for the late reply on this one. Indeed, the mistake is on our side. The list published on the website was incorrect, and please accept our apologies for that. We're updating the content as we speak, so it can reflect the correct list of software that we patch and monitor. Here is the list of software that Heimdal PRO patches automatically and silently: Java 6 (32bit) Java 7 (32bit) Java 7 (64bit) Java 8 (32bit) Java 8 (64bit) Adobe Shockwave Adobe Flash Plugin Adobe Flash Player Adobe Acrobat reader Adobe Air VLC Player Apple Quicktime Microsoft Windows Media Player Microsoft MDAC In the new Heimdal PRO, we will also patch Firefox and Chrome and the list of software will increase to approximately 20 apps. It won't be long before the release, so please bear with us. All Heimdal PRO users will get the update for the new product, so you'll be able to enjoy enhanced protection going forward as well. Thank you for notifying this and my sincere apologies for any confusion that this has created.
I thought that those of us who bought a Pro license previously, but cannot use it on Win 10, would have been placed near the top of the list? I am presently 315!
Yes it was a FP - I have subsequently reported another FP directly with support. Their turnaround is pretty good.
There is not correlation between your OS and the waitlist for the beta test. Your position in the queue is given by how many people you bring to become testers as well. The more people you refer, the higher you'll climb on the list.
Thank you for taking the time to write about this! We really appreciate the feedback and try to learn as much as possible from every message, so we can improve our customers service and our product.
I am about to give the new beta a whirl, but Andra I have to say that of all the way's I've seen of running a beta program this is the worst. Beta testing is something that a majority of people should not do nor are they setup for it. Of all my friends I wouldn't recommend any one of them consider beta testing. So designing a "rewards" thing based on that is to me terrible. Actually the whole concept is bad, "rewards" should be based on participation not on when got on a list.
I've just sign up to the Beta program. All the registered persons will get the beta program or only a few among them ??
