just fyi the reason i was seeing the old messages on those few systems support told me is because they were "essentials" keys converted over to complete. essentials doesnt load the filters for some reason

I have 9.0.4.7 but am not a beta tester. I don't see 'Enable Web Filtering driver' option yet under 'Firewall / Web Shield'
But I see Firefox Web Filtering Extension is at 1.2.0.14 now with no warnings from Mozilla i.e. 'not verified for use with Firefox' as previously, so it looks like it's signed now :)

Hmm, what's the trick. My 1.2.0.14 is still Proceed with caution.

    Here's a wrinkle. WSA 9.0.4.7
Vista box. Updated FF40.0.3 to 41.0.1
Now, I can't open FF with Application Protection set to Protect. Set to Allow FF opens.
    Did the uninstall re-install thing.
Upon re-install FF opens okay asking for Filtering Extension 1.2.0.14.
Upon Extension install FF crash trying to cycle back open with Windows dialog found a problem and we'll let you know.
That's when I realized Application Protection set to Protect was involved.

Edit: What news on FF validating Filtering Extension.

I don't have any issues with Firefox, but I have found that I needed to set Chrome to from 'Protect' to 'Allow' under Application Protection for it to open, which surely compromises that browser's security. Webroot Support suspected it is one of my Chrome extensions, but I never pursued it. (I seem to have issues with Chrome, so I avoid it). Just wondering if it may be due to a Firefox add-on you are using ...

Hmm, on main machine FF41 is okay. I'll look closer at spare machine FF add-ons.
So, we both observe need for 'Protect' to 'Allow' under Application Protection for Chrome or FF) to open.
Observing Firefox (cycle) crash upon trying to install WSA Filtering Extension.
Tells me WSA extension bumps into x.
    Stay tuned. Thanks!
Update: Internet Explorer the same. Need Protect to Allow to open IE. Filtering Extension...?

Browsers should be under Protect as you want your Browsing to be protected right? http://www.webroot.com/En_US/Secure...6_IDProtection/CH6c_ManagingProtectedApps.htm

    Triple Helix,
Yep, I'd like Protect. But, as I wrote. IE and FF crash on call with Protect.
    Thanks

As you can see in my Picture I don't have anything under Allow so there must be something wrong maybe a setting? When you do a clean reinstall do you Import old settings? Also on your online account do you have your PC's set to User Configuration? https://my.webrootanywhere.com/

    Triple Helix,
No need to keep / import settings. Takes few seconds to setup.
I don't use my online account. I'll have a look see.
    Thanks

You should set it up as you can see what's going on and here is the info about the online console: http://live.webrootanywhere.com/wsawebsitehelp

If it continues please contact Webroot Customer Service as I'm seeing some having this issue as well on the Webroot Community.

    Thanks,

    Daniel ;)

ote dohave other add-ons that are 'Proceed with caution' but not Webroot Filtering Extension anymore. Can't be certain when this changed, but I recently did a clean install of 9.0.4.7 to get rid of WRData folder.

Wow!, what version of Firefox has Debug or is that a Theme or Tool.
Yes, I have one other that still shows Proceed with caution.
I'll try another clean install on spare machine.
    Thanks
    Update: un-install > restart > install > restart = no joy.
Proceed with caution as expected and Firefox/IE crash on open.
Thanks....per Triple Helix prompt. I'll open Ticket.

Not sure where the 'Debug' came from; used an extension once for debug purposes, but have uninstalled it - maybe it left something behind in about:config. Not all add-ons show it. Sorry, OT.

Cool did not even know u could add apps. Added Cyberfox as it's my only browser and was not protected with stock settings. Tor browser/firefox/edge already got listed there though. Nice added protection for my cyberfoxie :)

Awesome I love Cyberfox, also you can block apps from seeing Protected Data as well but be careful which one's you add if you do.

    Thanks,

    Daniel ;)

Yea cyberfox rocks been running it for over half a year now I think. Basically all the good stuff from FF without the bload + 64 bit :)

I left all other programs there at stock, no need for anything to be blocked atm.

tbh WSA really is everything I could wish for in a AV. Very light on the system, all automated, and very stable. Running win10 and WSA is my only security app, all I need tbh :)
