I have been Using System Explorer (http://systemexplorer.net/) for many years. I currently have v5.9.4 installed, and my firewall logs show no internet communications by it other than with the DNS server to do reverse DNS lookups on TCP accesses. I should mention that I have the automatic update check feature disabled.

I recently saw that a user posted a comment with evidence that System Explorer v6.4.3 was communicating with Google:
~ Removed VirusTotal Linked Results as per Policy ~

My question is: in what version did System Explorer start sending data to Google?

It has a file database...probably cloud services for that.

Well my understanding is that it would be communicating with Google if you run the Security Scan feature, and allow the app's service to check files on Virustotal. I have it blocked from any outbound access, with update checking disabled also.
