As above really. Used Avast up until I had an issue with it crashing the start menu/Cortana process and then switched to Avira. Wasn't overly impressed with the level of protection in the free client so decided to purchase F-Secure SAFE today. It says Antivirus is installed but can only get browsing protection controls Removed and reinstalled but to no avail. Anyone els? Windows 10 Pro x64
I see Simon, one of the F-Secure mods, has been trying to help you over on the F-Secure forums; https://community.f-secure.com/t5/Security/Does-Safe-include-AV-or-not/td-p/75125 Maybe a silly question, but did you disable Windows Defender before installing F-Secure? If not, disable WD (use Option 1) and make sure all Windows updates are installed, run the F-Secure Uninstall tool again and reboot before you try and install F--Secure again; http://winaero.com/blog/disable-or-enable-windows-defender-in-windows-10/. Did F-Secure SAFE show up in the list of installed apps and features in Settings > Systems > Apps & features? Have you any other security programs running in real-time? No help to you but IME, most AVs are not ready for WIN 10. If you decide on a refund then my advice would be to stick with WinDefender for now in a layered defense or at least trial your next AV before a purchase for WIN 10.
