Yes. The SRP can be the only partition restored from your Entire Drive image.

For example, a Win8 or Win10 Entire Drive image of a UEFI system contains images of 4 partitions. You can restore 1, 2, 3 or 4 of these partitions.

    mantra,

With the TeraByte apps restoring to the same drive...

When you restore a partition image and don't restore the First Track the Disk Signature (Disk ID) isn't changed.
When you restore a partition image and restore the First Track the Disk Signature isn't changed.
When you restore an Entire Drive image the Disk Signature isn't changed.

You can manually change the Disk Signature if there is a special need...

No, the Disk Signature isn't changed with an Entire Drive Restore if you restore the image to a new HD which has replaced a failed HD.

The Disk Signature is 4 bytes in LBA-0 beginning at 0x1B8

    mantra,

IFW can use the Disk Signature to identify drives for backup and restore purposes. For example, the first partition on the HD from post #488 would be...

    #0x1623AB41@0x1

This is useful in situations where Windows sees a drive as HD1 and the BIOS sees it as HD0.

There seems to be something wrong with v2.97e.
I have "Use VSS When Available" selected, but it is still trying to use PHYLock (which never works).

I have tried rebooting, but it keeps going to the useless PHYLock.

    Hadron,

In PHYLock Settings do you have "Disable Usage" selected? If it is selected I'd uninstall PHYLock.

    No Brian.

And can you uninstall PHYLock separately?

I suggest you disable Phylock Usage and see if that's enough.

    That works. :thumb:
Strange. I never had to have that selected in previous versions.

Those menus have changed. Make sure you have 5 ticks in VSS Settings and a tick in Use Component Mode.

    I only had 1 tick.
    I have 5 ticked now.
Use Component Mode was already ticked.

OK. See page 42 in the 297e IFW manual as it shows the latest defaults.
