I'm using Palemoon. Here's the link I used.
    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/ublock-origin/

Links to Security Now #523 -- Ublock Origin. Both Leo Laporte and Steve Gibson really like the program. He mentions some uBlock O features at times throughout the program but really gets into it at 1:21:45.

Is it possible to get rid of the cookie bar that shows up on a lot of sites?
    cookie bar.jpg
When I remove it via the element picker, that works, but if you refresh the page it reappears. Also the rule that gets created has a ! in front of it which indicates the rule is ignored. I tried removing it, but that did not help. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Every time I use element picker on that particular element, it creates the same rule with different time stamps. All of the entries have ! in front of them.

I have this notifications removed on most sites by 3rd party filters. I don't know which one is removing them. Here are filters that I have enabled:

I still get some notifications but much less than when browsing without uBlock Origin.

    @Adric ,

In my opinion the below list (In Regions, Languages) do the job :
EU Prebake - Filter Obtrusive Cookie Notices

The problem why element picker did not persist was because I did not have Parse and enforce cosmetic filters. enabled in ublocko settings. Thanks for the pointer to the cookies filter. I will keep that in mind if I end up having to hide too many cookie bar elements .

Maybe Malwar or someone came up with something better, but the best I can do is:

    Code:

    forums.realgm.com###left_rail_takeover[href^="https://www.draftkings.com/gateway"]
    Code:
    forums.realgm.com###right_rail_takeover[href^="https://www.draftkings.com/gateway"]
The left and right images still remain but the active content within them at least seems to be stifled.

Check if Parse and enforce cosmetic filters is checked in ublock's settings page. Those filters are working fine on my Firefox.

Did you click the lock icon at top-left after making changes?

It does save settings. See https://github.com/gorhill/uBlock/w...ved-element-reappear-when-you-reload-the-page. If you provide a specific case for others can reproduce, surely someone will explain why it's not working -- assuming they can reproduce.

Oh...if it's the element picker not saving then maybe under 3rd-party filters "Parse and enforce cosmetic filters" checkbox may not be enabled?

The lock button does not apply to the Element Picker but only to Dynamic Filtering. I suggest that you read the site provided by gorhill - it should answer your question. In any case you'll find the filters created with the Element Picker in the "My Filters" tab. If they don't work anymore, the probable reason - as mentioned on that site - is that
But since you didn't tell us what website is affected by your problem and which filters were created by the Element Picker for that site it's actually impossible for us to provide specific assistance.

    HI all,
anybody know why Firefox/Ublock on an Android phone allows the video ads to play, while Firefox/Ublock on the computer blocks them.
Look at the videos at espnfc.us and espnfc.co.uk

Select a video and the ad will play before the featured clip.

Are they both uBlock Origin? Are they both using the latest EasyList?
