    Hi,

I want to convert HFS+ volumes to NTFS. I've tried doing this with 3 different volumes. When I format a thumbstick as HFS+, it creates 2 EFI partitions around the volume. Partition #1 is a hidden 200MB EFI System partition. Then Partition #2 is the main HFS+ partition. Then there is a second hidden partition as Partition #3 of 128 MB which shows as unallocated.

When I use the tool to convert this volume, it says it finishes correctly. The resultant NFTS volume is readible on Mac OSs, but not on any windows machine (tried windows 7, windows 8 and windows 8.1). All the windows machine see is this 200MB EFI System Partition, which is always empty.

I don't see a version number in the NTFS-HFS software. But this is the name of the installer I got from your website: Paragon-263-FRE_WinInstallSNU_10.1.19.16175_001

Can you help me get around this problem?

As a follow-up, I followed the instructions here to remove the EFI partitions: http://www.mede8erforum.com/index.php?topic=14019.0

Once I removed them via Disk Utility (in Debug Mode), the program worked as expected. PCs now can see and mount the converted NTFS volume.

However, in testing this further it appears that this tool has a limitation: if you ever have more than 1 partition, the volume will not be visible or mountable on a windows machine. As a test, I took an external drive with 2 partitions: 1 ExFat partition, and 1 HFS+ partition. The ExFat one was created first and therefore was the first partition. The tool ran and converted the HFS partition, but not both partitions are not visible or mountable on a Windows machine. Disk Management does see the format of both drives, but won't mount either of them.

It seems to me that this tool has to have only 1 partition, or, perhaps it will only work with the very first partition in the list. Using this on any kind of RAID that's split into multiple volumes is likely disastrous and unworkable.
