Since updating from 5.01.2 to 5.01.4 sound doesn't work when playing videos or music in media player classic/k-lite

I wish Curt would reference W10 and or pre-W10 for each fix.

I agree, bjm. But read this below. I think this beta so far is pretty much to get Sandboxie working well in W10. If we are not using W10, there is no need to move from 4.20. 5.01.3 is working great for me in XP and W7.

Not sure I agree with Curt. I've looked at it to be sure it doesn't break anything in W7 and so far it's not that great.

Pete, what is it that you don't agree with Curt? For me, up to version 5.01.3, things work perfectly well in my W7 and XP. In versions 5.01.4 and 5.01.5, Flash crashes soon after I begin streaming baseball or in YouTube. Invincea knows those versions are not ready for W7. Thats why the statement from Craig that I quoted above was posted at the SBIE forum.

Oh, if he knows it's not working for 7 and doesn't want us to test that's fine I am currently on 5.01.02 myself.

Version 5.01.2 was fine in my computers, as solid as 5.01.3 has been working for me. But the two latest beta versions don't feel good, specially in my XP, the computer in which I use Flash. I don't maintain Flash as an installed program in W7. And it wasn't only Flash that does not feel right with the two latest betas. Henry used the word flaky to describe how they feel in W7 and I think he is right.

Pete, I gave 5.01.5 another try in my W7 and all seems well. Thats what I am using now. I even installed Flash in the real system trying to crash plugin container but cant get it done. I didnt even have to disable Flash protected mode. As far as I can tell, 5.01.5 passes the Go test in W7 32 bits. In the XP, I am going to give it another try later today. In that computer, I definitively have the issue with plugin container but I will disable it to work around it. I used to do that before so doing that is nothing new for me.

No luck with beta 5.01.6. Still getting a SBIE2224 Sandboxed program has crashed: plugin-container.exe with beta 5.01.6 and Firefox 39.0 (W7 64 bits). Maybe HitmanPro.Alert build 196 has something to do with it?

Edit: uninstalled HmP.Alert build 196 but still a SBIE2224 Sandboxed program has crashed: plugin-container.exe with beta 5.01.6 and Firefox 39.0 (W7 64 bits). Back to beta 5.01.3.

The only extensions I use in both Palemoon and FF are uBlock Origin with Dynamic filtering and flash onOff. Only activate Keyscrambler when logging in to email accounts. Videos both using flash and HTML5 working well. No problem with plugin container.

Thanks for the heads up. I will skip that test and await events. They will figure it out.

I think for now, its probably best to use Windows own firewall along Sandboxie in W10.

About your browser in W10. Try Cyberfox to see if it works with Sandboxie in W10. If it doesn't, then try using IE, Firefox or Chrome. The one browser that I know it doesn't work with Sandboxie in W10 at this time is Edge.

I suggest you change your default browser from Edge to something else. Remember, your default browser is the one that runs when you click the SandboxedWebBrowser icon that Sandboxie places at your desktop when you install it. To avoid confusion and errors, make the change.

Had to revert back to Sandboxie 5.01.3 because of flash and plugin container crashing while in new version of Palemoon Goanna 26.0.
