I've been using shadow protect for a long time always found it very solid... but it does lack features so I have tended to use acronis to fill the gaps disk e.g. cloning but it goes through phases of being reliable or a waste of time. I am looking to swap Acronis out Macruim 1of 3 failures in testing clones Eeseus to do back - seems fast and reliable from my tests Aomei Backupper - but seems very slow at cloning SSD Paragon - kinda of like https://www.raymond.cc/blog/10-comm...eatures-and-backuprestore-speed-comparison/2/ Any opinions about reliability very welcome?
starfish_001, Acronis has bad press. I used it years ago without issues. Maybe I'm lucky as I've never had a restore or clone failure with any imaging software (MBR systems). So in my experience they are all reliable. Successful cloning is very operator dependent.
Tried Macruim on windows 10 - with auto shutdown - failed to create a working image 2 / 4 - a pity as this is something I want to like looks like either Eeseus to do back - seems fast and reliable from my tests Aomei Backupper - but seems very slow at cloning SSD Raxco instant recovery seems to work okay with windows 10 though
@starfish_001 You can give lazesoft recovery suite a try. There is also a free home version. I was unable to boot windows 10 due to an incompatible app. So I did a restore and all went fine. I do backups and restore only using boot media.
