I must return my laptop so I need to do some work...
SO is W7 64bit Enterprise version.

I need to wipe my external HDD. DBAN does not sound like an option because I want just the external HDD wiped.
I thought about encrypting it with Bitlocker and then format it afterwards.

Next, how to securely delete about 70GB of files from my primary HDD? Just delete them and then run Privazer to empty the bin?

    Any thoughts?
    Thanks.

USA still the best. But barely.
If you got the reinstall disks or made them before any personalization. Then yes DBan then reinstall.

DBAN works for a drive you just want to wipe. I have used it many times. If you want to delete files and leave the rest intact, CCleaner will work to wipe the space, as will many other programs.

Thanks guys. I actually want to securely wipe just files not touching the OS.
Is DBAN working with external HDD or it just wipes all hard drives?

Diskpart will wipe the drive too.

    "clean all" (without the " " )
