Thanks for the heads up, I downloaded the installer 2 times and ended up with 169. both times, I thought "am I starting to get crazy, didn't I read on Wilders that a new update was out..." Now this explains why, very kind of them to pull it but still state that 188. is the latest version available

This link is updated now: http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/latest/help/install_flash_player_ppapi.exe

From what I can tell so far, the automatic Flash updates are still behind even when using Task Scheduler to run the task. The 'distribution3' page shows .188 but is also behind, providing downloads to previous version.

However, the linked page from BoerenkoolMetWorst does have the latest .188 for PPAPI and NPAPI, confirmed.

The link still downloads 169 here.

I was able to download the 188 version this morning so it looks like they fixed the locale issue.

    Hi anon,

The reason I posted msg #187 was so that Linux users reading this thread (not assured) would notice it's time to update your Adobe Flash Player. Over in the Unix/Linux subforum - one of the Moderators closed my thread there to notify Unix/Linux users of the new Adobe Flash Player as the new releases came out for it on the basis of this thread's existence presuming that Linux/Unix users would normally access this subforum's thread for Adobe Flash updates. If so, that presumption may or may not be true. My thinking on creating the separate thread over in the Unix/Linux subforum was that it was more likely to be read by Linux/Unix users (as it pertains to that version only) while in this thread most all of the time only Windows versions are mentioned for obvious reasons.

Anyone find the link for the update? I see the latest as .203, but all links I have found install the existing vulnerable download

Click on "Need Flash Player for a different computer" on that page and make your selection.

Try running Windows Update. If you're running Windows 8.1, you get updates for Flash for IE via WU (I just got the update within the last hour (i.e., pretty late) after running WU twice today).

Update: Another vulnerability found in the Hacking Team data(3rd Flash vulnerability so far) has been added.
