    Hi
Is there a setting to have uBlockO revert 'Toggle' to default upon close tab. Seems 'Toggle' remains at least for session.
    where is uMatrix board...

I suggest to add the disconnect filterlists to uMatrix rather than to uBlock. Those filterlists are not pattern-based but are hosts files-like. Thus, I think adding them to uMatrix (and unselecting all other hosts files in uBlock) is more appropriate as they appear in the matrix as blacklisted. So you get a clear distinction: uMatrix does the blocking with its integrated hosts files, uBlock does pattern-based blocking and cosmetic filtering.

Yes that is what I was going to do because I was thinking they were kinda like host files like you said, but the list are gone from uBlock Origin now I updated my list and they were removed so I am thinking @gorhill removed them. Are they still available in your uBlock Origin?

    @Malwar

Are you using any malware filter lists in addition to the Disconnect list -- or is that it?

Yes, they are still there. If you lost them in uBlock (I really wonder how that could happen ...) you can get them from here.

So, then, are you using all of the Malware Domain lists and all of the Privacy lists?

I use all of the ones in my signature. I use every filter list in uMatrix + disconnect malware filters and in uBlock Origin I use the default ones except the ones that are covered in uMatrix and all privacy and all social and adblock warning removal list and anti-adblock killer.
    P.S.: I replied to your P.M.

yup, glad You like disconnect malware domains imported into umatrix.

Im also using some custom malware filters for umatrix, namely malc0de, openphish, spam404, and zeustrackers.

also some people use gnuzilla blacklist inside ublock, but i imported it into umatrix. looks like umatrix is using it so should be ok

Edit: I have added all of these, also I found this http://www.hardmob.com.br/softwhere/581113-ublock-mega-lista-anti-malware-spyware-virus-phishing.html I don't speak Portuguese but this person if you scroll down put a lot of list together and list a lot of different list and made them all together into a 15 mb one so what do you think of that?

Lol, it never really bothered me as Im on Chrome, seamless updates.. So by firefox version 41, all unsigned extensions will be blocked without warning.

I like your added filters to umatrix btw, didn't even know these filters existed so thanks.

No problem. Hey Im a beginner user of ublock and umatrix too, we need to share as much info as possible to keep all this malware away :)

your link is very interesting, that person gives lots of new blocklist links so I will have to check it all out. that "mega" list looks juicy ;)
the only thing I dont like about it, is that the ingredients of the compiled list are not accessible through .txt on the sites from which that person pieced it together. in .txt. it would get updated automatically, and in this form its dependent on that forum poster to manually piece the lists together every 2 weeks as he says. I dont believe he will still be doing that after a year, but hey lets use it now while its fresh

also thanks for the additional domainlist links, will check them all out as I didnt have it :)

No prob, just so happens I stumbled upon an article where some secuirty blogger listed many sites with these lists. Some were old and or broken, but many were usable, and as it turned out after adding them into umatrix, they had many more domains than the default lists.

The only thing that tempts me to use chrome/chromium is sandboxing. Other than that im a long time ff user ;)

concerning signed extensions. after the 0.9.8.2 update, ublock origin is nonsigned, again

wow, didnt know about that, thanks. i will get rid of it then

hmm, Im not so sure anymore.
I have imported gnuzilla into ublock to compare it to easylist easyprivacy and fanboy social

atm im using fanboy ultimate merged list as it combines easy list easyprivacy fanboy special and many other lists.
I have also enabled these three lists, and indeed it shows that ublock doesnt use them (0 or 4 out of many thousands entries used).

However, imported gnuzillla list shows 10k out of 14k used trackers.
this would suggest that this list somehow differs from the three?

    EDIT
as a sidenote, since gnuzilla is based on easy lists and fanboy lists, do You think it is a sound practice from the technical standpoint to import it to umatrix? does umatrix handle adblockplus based lists?

oh sorry didnt mean to imply youre a beginner. one "too" too many lol
    thanks for another one ;)

Ive been also searching for some custom lists for ublock origin, but I guess fanboy ultimate merged and other ones that ship with ublock are the most popular ones, cant really find other adblock lists

Nah it is fine!! :thumb:We are good we are just having fun doing what we love right!! :thumb::)Fighting the bad guys!! Why do you think my name is Malwar! ;):DAlso let me know if you find any filter list but I think the ones I use are good enough along with uMatrix besides if something was not blocked, uMatrix(it blocks all third party by default the way mine is setup except CSS+image globally )would block it or I could hide it with uBlock Origins element hider picker. It is a little past 4 in the morning here I have not slept, I been too busy playing around with uMatrix lol it is additive, but I will talk to you soon :)

Frankly I've no idea, perhaps someone more knowledgeable or even better @gorhill himself can answer this.

Yes your username has some obvious connotations, but thruthfully it sounds also like a name from LOTR ;) malwar, yes I can see it ;)

I know the feeling. ever since I swiched to linux I have had many a night where I stayed till 4am or didnt sleep at all, tinkering and testing out different things. and yeah playing with umatrix and ublock is so much fun.

I also use the element blocker generously. Whenever I see a "aww, youre using an adblock" kind of nuisance it gets shut down. I use it also to strip some websites to bare minimum, shutting down toolbars, sidebars, and other panels that I dont need. I like my websites sterile and to the point ;)

Yeah its confusing really. maybe gnuzilla is better fit for ublock, but then again umatrix recognizes it and takes its items into its blocked count.
I also have no way of figuring out why ublock's engine uses gnuzilla's list as if it were different than easylist easyprivacy fanboy. oh well, I have to think about what to do with this gnuzilla list

malwar son of maldom..ok the joke is over ;)
Im from a european country, where we dont have a standup kind of comedy that much, but I personally love american, and sometimes english and irish standup comedians. george carlin, louis ck and dara o'briain ftw! (tothe mods: this is the end of this offtopic)

    Question to chrome users:
do You also have a similar system for signing extensions like firefox AMO?
cause now my updated ublock origin 0.9.8.2 is not signed again :/
I really dont understand this system. it was signed, now its not
