I was hoping to test AV+ on Win10 as the beta survey lists it as an option and the installer allows it to proceed unlike 2015, however the installer stalls at 89% and unsurprisingly everything was pretty bugged after forcing a restart. On the bright side at least i have some early feedback for them! :)

Testing the Maximum Security, and so far the "bug" that i have reported about the Cpu and memory usage, is fixed :)

Great news, I had experienced this bug in the past and it was very annoying.

    Keep us informed, thanks.

Could you please tell a few words about this bug as I also experienced twice something like constant CPU around 30% that could only be fixed by a restart. I think it started on a certain detection. When does this bug occur to you? Is there any pattern?

I am thinking of testing Maximum Security myself. Anyone else had a go at it yet?

I reported this bug as well, it happens after file detection, it seems related to the inspector/forensic analysis feature in Trend Micro.

An update on Win10 from the horse's mouth:

"As of the moment, this testing will not support Windows 10. We will be having a separate test for the said platform."

Strange of them to include it as an option in the test script, as well as allowing the installer to proceed where it stops you in 2015, but there you go.

I'm totally impressed with the 2016 beta 1 build 9.0.1056, looks like a final build! Light light light, there is definitely an improvement in performance! :thumb:

I'm aware of that, in av-comp TM had a drop for file detection (your link) and real-world tests http://chart.av-comparatives.org/chart1.php?chart=chart2&year=2015&month=3&sort=1&zoom=3 However, they are still strong in AV-Test.org tests, keeping a rock solid 100% for both zero day and prevalent malware detection tests for January & February http://www.av-test.org/en/antivirus...15/trend-micro-internet-security-2015-150681/ Not the case for Avira here. And, performance wise, the version tested is the current official TM 2015 which I don't like much. The new beta 2016 I'm talking about is blazingly fast and stable! I hope TM keep things like they are now :thumb:

Nice. Just installed the Maximum Security beta this morning. So far so good. Are default settings enough or is there something I should to in order to tighten thing up? Thanks.

Great. I normally leave AV programs on default, for TrendMicro the only thing I changed is to boot the program in 'extra performance' so their drivers load after Windows fully starts. Everything works like a charm with TM.
By the way, I plan to test the new KAV beta later as well :)

It sure is. Much more entertaining than this Trend Micro beta. I don't know that I can continue to test the Trend. Nothing wrong with it. :argh:

    Hi Trooper, here: http://forum.kaspersky.com/index.php?showtopic=161942
I agree with xxJackxx, not much fun with Trend lol, and yes KAV can be more entertaining ...but more risky as well ;)
