Do you recommend this extension. I precisely need a way to get notified when an extension in my Chrome browser gets updated. Usually I noticed when doing some routine maintenance by chance. Some already do but uBlock Origin, uBlock Origin Extra, etc, don't.

Some nice extensions man. What makes you use KB SSL Enforcer vs. HTTPS Everywhere? Just curious.

 

Ublock Origin, Trustwave Secure Browsing, BitDefender Traffic Light, Privacy Badger.

 

uMatrix requires a lot of fine tuning or experience using it before its easy and using hosts files to block ads with umatrix is just a killer because there's no way to turn them off to check if they are a problem but your time spent in the long run is well worth it imo. Works well with ublockO and ublock extra.

Because KB is way lighter than HTTPSE...If I remember right HTTPSE was using 100K+ last time I used it

 

forcing ssl connections is not advised - could cause possible mixed content or wrong assumptions. and in bad cases to trust your data to a complete untrusted or MITM affected site. thats why ssl checking by antivirus software is never recommeneded and undermine browsers security - so many issues with it.

idd it is - should only used when really familiar with its filtering. and only added to uBlock, not alone. gorhill explained it last week why.

notneeded! chrom(ium) has this feature itself since several versions.

i dont like such stuff. if moves data from memory to hard disk and back - in case of ssd it has impact on your ssd - and any hdd is to slow to gain perfomance.
if you suffer memory input MORE memory.

neither nor recommended, is currently known for many issues - in special with uBlock togehter. and in fact with uBo it has no gain, nothing.

complete BS. all of those antivirus extension are really pain in some browser ***, they cause issues, they are not fully compatible and many more.
in fact uBo offers much more security with its block lists, in special the hosts file list. you can also add some less filtering lists - fully flexible, but not that fixed BS from any antivirus.

you dont need that flag, running now v61, but v60 had and v59 has it also. suspended tabs by default - i dont have a timer for you but when i am longer afk the current site is visible, any other has to reload, in most cases from cache.

thats all folks. as you can see many for my convenience and few for security. more will be overkill or part of alu helmet. other brake sites but you can not improve security this way.

 

I have disabled the flag some time ago, this explains why i couldn't see suspended tabs
(now i have changed it to the default value - discarded tabs can be seen there: chrome://discards/)
But it seems with v61 they are forcing tabs to a suspended state after some time of inactivity
With v59 tabs should be only suspended (to free up memory) if system resources are low:

Yes it notifies about every extension update and the code is real small and very efficient the best extension in my opinion the author is a very good programmer works at Google and all of his stuff is open source.
