Anything in particular I should look for?

I don't see any mentions of HMPA in EIS and MBAM.

    Keystroke encryption took a holiday ... 187
Green border... no flyout ... one second scramble... next second no scramble
Keyboard logger test = no encryption

I've tried everything...scramble is gone. My friend just called...her encryption is gone too. :(

Now that I have updated to build 187 I can no longer see the green border in Firefox. Is this a bug? Is this a (new) feature? Or is it just me?

BTW, it's good to know that it is now possible to exclude files from exploit protection. It would be nice if it were possible to add files and applications as well.

When open chrome browser the encrypting sometimes not working at all with build 183, 184 and 187. I have to restart windows Vista for a couple of times before it works again. NO problem running with explorer 9 browser.

Yeah, I've been through builds with encryption on again off again. We're all in this together.

Build 183 auto updated to build 187 today correctly & it's working well, apart from the fact that it forgot my previous setting of the safety notification for "Once Per Logon" and put it back to "at application start".

Yes, that's been happening for a number of builds now. I also set it to "once per logon session" and it reverts to "application start" after update. It's a low priority issue IMHO.

It appears Keystroke Encryption has stopped working in FF here too.

Edit: Same thing on both of my machines. Encryption is working in IE11 and Chrome, just not FF.

yes, thanks! in fact this morning I had an hmpa3 alert that 187 would autoinstall when I rebooted, so I rebooted ;) and 187 did install aok and xp seems a little smoother & even less noticeable slowdown with 187. no indication on main screen that this is a beta, so I assume 187 went public very quickly OR I have preference set to update with betas, I assume as I did not select anything in preferences yet, I left 183 now 187 default settings as it melds-in. very happy here now that hmpa3 appears to be playing nice, as the earlier betas were noncopacetic. Thanks to Erik for inviting me back :D

Laptop: W7-x64 US,US keyboard, MS Essentials, Spybot S&D 2.4, hp240, hpa187 (with the proper Safety Notification settings), IE11 (NO chrome), FF 37.0.2,...

    Colored window borders all ok!,
    All Flyouts are ok!,
Keystroke encryption, in 'Browsers' (IE11, FF 37.0.2) and 'Other' are all ok!
Up till so far no problems.:)

    EDIT:
Desktop: W7-x64 NL,NL keyboard, MS Essentials, Spywareblaster 5.0, hp240, hpa187 (with the proper Safety Notification settings), IE11 (NO chrome), FF 37.0.2,...

For the protected applications the Colored window borders are ok! and Flyouts (upper right corner) are ok!

    Keystroke encryption:
'Browsers' (IE11, FF 37.0.2) NO keystroke encryption flyouts shown and NO encryption done, as shown with the hpmalert testtool.

'Other' application show keystroke encryption flyouts and the encryption is actually done!

As far as I am concerned the latest build 187 is working better than ever and in fact the install and use so far have been seamless. :thumb:

Auto-update worked fine on the PC of a family member.

The Flash problem in that PC seems to be solved in this build.

Hm. On another family PC which is only protected by Security Essentials (and of course HMPA) the auto-update also failed.

    I can't find a common cause yet.

I installed HitManPro.Alert on my Win7 machine which is dedicated to running SageTV. Unfortunately, after the install every time I start SageTV HMPA thinks it is an exploit and terminates it. SageTV does use the internet to communicate with its EPG source and this may be a factor. I have listed the SageTV.exe and associated Sage exe files as exemptions in HitmanPro.Alert but it still terminates SageTV immediately on start and gives me the warning message.

I'm disappointed as I have found HitManPro.Alert to work superbly on my Win8.1 machine (which does not run SageTV. I'm really hoping there is some way to make HMP.Alert compatible with SageTV.

    Any help appreciated.

(By the way, SageTV is going free and open source, which will make what is already the best PVR by far even better. Not a shill, just an enthusiastic long time user. See the SageTV forum for info.)

    Hello,

With build 187, I do not get an encryption flyout when typing in IE11 on Windows 8.1 Pro 64 bit, however the test tool shows encryption is working. All other flyouts and borders work fine. The only other security software that I have installed is ESET Smart Security.

SageTV performs a check to see whether it is running in VMware. Either switch Vaccination to Passive or exclude SageTV.exe:

    1. Click on the gear icon on the top right of Alert's main window.
    2. Click on Advanced interface
    3. Click on the blue tile
    4. Click on Applications
    5. Scroll to the far right
    6. Click on Add exclusion
    7. Browse to SageTV.exe
    8. Done.
