    Checked for updates and all I got was 3 optional updates for Win 7 x64.. Installed, and nothing exploded. So all is well......

    Same here as well but I did hide them. KB3013531 has to do with some phone info or whatever. Win 7 x64.

    I got 1 important update and 21 optional updates, this is also on Windows 8.1. Still deciding whether to install them now or at least wait until tomorrow.

    Though the important one is simply the Malicious Software Removal Tool, so I might not install that one at all.

    Two PC's with Windows 8.1 32-bit, no problems.

    20 patches installed on my Win 8.1 machine without a hitch. It was a flash speed update.

    That Update was the only one of the 20 that were available on my Windows 8.1 Pro x64 that failed to install. KB3022345 will likely be removed as it seems to add a diagnostic tracking service that collects data.

    Perhaps due to small number of reported affected users. Maybe M$ has not tested patch sufficiently to deem other than optional.
    Granted, that's pure speculation and supposition that M$ is benevolent.
