Trying Windows 10 again, boy did it change! Cortana is a bit buggy and laggy, but interesting nonetheless. I like the new notifications side menu, but WiFi was a downgrade.

I've been playing with Windows 10 for a while off and on. I like it so far. I'm not fond of Cortana at this point. It's really hard to put Windows 10 to the test as I really don't trust it for real world stuff. I did try installing an update on a clone of my Windows 7 install. I was pleasantly surprised at how smooth it went.

Switched Netrunner and Fedora for Ubuntu and Linux Mint Debian Edition. Windows 10 now release version of course.

Reapplied POSReady 2009 tweak to Windows XP. Disabled Windows 10 Upgrade notification on 7 (including background download): https://www.wilderssecurity.com/thre...indows-10-download.379049/page-3#post-2525124

Otherwise everything is running as smoothly as ever!

*Not sure if this counts, but my Chromebook is running a Trusty Tahr XFCE crouton.

A little bit of an update.

I had to dump Windows 10. I messed up my Tech Preview some how and it no longer works. I also made the mistake of renaming a Windows 7 upgrade to Windows 10 vdi and it is no longer boots. I have another Windows 7 installation I was going to upgrade but, it seems Windows 10 has decided it's no longer compatible with VirtualBox, despite the fact I have ran two Windows 10 vm's before I borked them.

I'll review that list once I get home tonight, but on the top of my head...

    Windows 7 Pro SP1 x64
Windows 7 Pro SP1 x64 for malware analysis
    Windows 7 Pro SP1 x86
    Windows 7 Pro SP1 x64 with IE10
    Windows 8.1 Pro x64
    Windows 8.1 Pro x86
    Windows 8 Pro xSomething
    Maybe a Windows XP SP3 x86

I need to throw in two more VMs, Windows 10 Pro x64 and x86. And maybe another Windows 7 Pro SP1 x64 VM for various tests.
