Unfortunately I can't see any report about the following:
    • High CPU Usage than past>,it can be occurred when you are simulate more download...
    • it appear not handling high network request well than past...
    • it will findout the avwebg7.exe was hanging or free itself...
    • then all your network request will not continue until you terminate the process manually.
Or is it related to your VPN issue?

We'll investigate your other bug reports in the next couple of days.

These Four sentence was related to one problem =>avwebg7.exe hanging randomly during daily usage....
,I still need to reproduce it before I can report it
    However
    • it will findout the avwebg7.exe was hanging or freeze itself...
    • then all your network request will not continue until you terminate the process manually.
These two description also be found and reproduce when I was facing the problem of VPN too

    Hi
I am using free version of avira. Please, can somebody tell me how, as of today, how can I get into configuration menu? The right click on "umbrela" would give me "send feedback" and "manage devices". "Disable real time protection" no longer there. There is also "Open Avira" option, but it just opens pop uu window with "antivirus", "broswer safery", etc icons. But "antivirus" icon would just try to open my web browser.
I have been trying to access "avira answers" , but I cannot sign into it - it says that my email is not valid. It needs "myavira" username and password, whatever it is supposed to mean.

Would you allow me a small question for the Update Alerts forum please, just for my understanding? (Sorry, I don't have Avira installed and haven't read this whole thread).

    We use this site: http://www.avira.com/en/support-vdf-history

I see there now mentioned "XVDF". Is my memory playing games with me now; wasn't this in the past "iVDF"?

Thanks in advance, and sorry for the small question!

Could someone please give me the correct link to download Avira Premium AV only trial? The only link I have found is broken. I downloaded the free version thinking it would be the same installer as the premium since that's all I could find on their site, but it's not.

Thank you!! I don't know what has happened to their site since I stopped using Avira about 3 years ago. They have a good AV, but their site is so unorganized right now.

    Hi,

I would like to take a doubt. For those users who still planning to keep Avira Internet Security 2013 installed (since it's supported until 2016). When click to renew, it opens a license renewal page for Internet Security Suite 2015. So, I would like to know if someone renew a license with 2013 version installed, it will only extend the time the current license for 2013 version or it will also automatically receive the upgrade for 2015 version through some update?

I am concerned about the March AV-Comparatives File Detection Test results in which Avira performed well with 99.9% detection but had 44 false positives. This is an alarming number of false positives and totally out of character for Avira. Avast also had a high number of false positives, but the other major AV programs (BitDefender, Panda, KIS) were within a low range.

I am wonder if anyone could hazard a guess as to why this has happened. Has Avira changed their program dramatically? Has AV-Comparatives changed their testing? What?

Avira is one solution I've never tried, and I can't really explain why. I'd have to guess it's because I never seem to see special deals on it when I'm in the mood to check - maybe my timing is just bad. That's pretty much how I get all my stuff and why I have 3 or 5 licenses laying around for WSA, Norton Security, NOD32, KIS 2015, and maybe one or two others at the moment. I can't pass up something that's on sale in the range of $15.00 to $30.00, depending. I use all of them, believe it or not, on various desktops and laptops in the family as whatever is on there gets close to expiring.

One of these days maybe I'll settle on one or two. I'm no AV expert, but I really want to give Avira and probably G-Data a shot sometime in the near future just to see how they fare.
