    Hi Dave,

I have seen that at times and you can go in services and start the VoodooShieldService.exe Manually without rebooting!

You may also want to consider switching VS to a delayed startup to see if that resolves your problem.

In terms of security I would not recommended that on a full time basis! Only to debug.

It want make any difference if he is going to continue to start VS manually. Delayed startup will start VS about the same time he does it manually without the hassle.

I meant it in this case only instead of rebooting. But leave it at Automatic not (Delayed)

What would be the security issue with Delayed Start. I manually start and see no security issue as VS does nothing until web facing. As long as I start VS before facing the net then....
Unless, you think Delayed Start would cause VS to start after user faces the net. As long as user waits for VS system tray Icon...no security issue. $.02

Well it was designed to Automatic Start Up not Delayed so it's best for Dan @VoodooShield to answer this correctly.

Thanks Daniel, I didn't know you could do that. That doesn't solve the problem because when I shut down and start up in the morning the problem is still there. Delayed start I tried with WinPatrol and that was a PITA because even if I would log off I would have to wait a minute (that's what I set it for when starting up) before VS enabled. I have a shortcut on my taskbar to start VS after everything loads and I get internet connection, I'll go to the shortcut to start VS. Just wondering why VS didn't keep the setting. I screwed up the internet connection time with a program I downloaded last year and it hasn't been the same since. I think it's time to give the computer a good enema and reformat. :argh:

The Chrome extension that was causing issue populated to Command Line :)

With Protect user space in Smart Mode when VS is Off check box'd.....Is that the same as Always On
What does Always On bring me
Why not Always On as default
Why does VS Toggle....How does Toggle enhance my security and or VS functionality

Check :) I imagine start with Windows as a convenience. Maybe, it's a requirement for optimal VS ?

It sounds like you have internet like I do. It's sucks. Slow, and extremely unreliable.

Back in January, I was having no issues, but there have been many betas since then... I can't remember which was the last one that didn't give me these present issues. I just have to wait for KMD implementation you keeping promising is coming. ;)

That's unbelievable! Is that at your home, or business? I think the internet around here is about the worst on the planet. The only people that has it worse are those that don't have internet at all. If my internet is functioning as it should I get around 1.5 mb/s down, and 0.48 mb/s up. It often doesn't work at all, or I only get 0.50-0.70 down so I can't even watch streaming video without it buffering over, and over again. I just got reimbursed for 12 days without internet this month. I get messages in my inbox all the time with people expecting me to respond, and i'm not able to respond sometimes until days later. I always uncheck the option to backup my whitelist to the cloud to prevent problems.

    @Cutting_Edgetech

Commiserations on your ISP service. Mine is not very quick, but at least it stays up...

After a clean installation "m" version works very well on my Win8.1 (64bit).
VS starts very fast without any problems (just after Windows boots up), I haven't noticed any delays, it looks really good, seems to be very stable and I've no issues to report so far :thumb:

    Thanks Dan! :)

Hmmmm, is that what is going on? Does VS not launch until the internet is active? BTW, what version of windows are you running? Thank you!

I am sure we can fix this without using Delayed Start. It seems to only be an issue with Windows XP. Does anyone have this issue with any other OS?
