Indeed, we ensured during the rollout of the 15.0.9 build that the older 15.0.8 was available only over the website.
Reason: Some customers had an issue with the realtime protection.

    Thanks for clarifying that. :thumb:

    Edit:
    A new version released:
The new version is the fix to solve the problems with the realtime protection in 15.0.9.502?
Who knows........At the moment there is no Changelog/Release Notes.....
Maybe we will see the release notes the top secrets next week? after a month?
    Avira, as usual........ :isay:

So what happens to those who downloaded the "new" 15.0.8 build and installed it? Is there a way for them to get the 15.0.9, or do they have to wait till Avira releases the next update?

The 15.0.8 build is fine and not affected. The newer 15.0.9 will include the fix.

Will the 15.0.8 automatically update to the "Fixed" 15.0.9?

This version has released now: 15.0.9.504

and my Avira Pro has not yet updated to this version. How long do I have to wait before it automatically updates?

As reminder: Product updates are performed as partly rollout. It can't be predicted which computer get when the update. All computers will receive the update during the full rollout. As release dates can change due to different reasons, the final date depends upon events. If you see it available in beta center, the update rollout is very close ;)

There are times when Avira released 2, 3 program updates and one of my machines was still stuck at a version 2-3 releases old. That should not happen under any kind of rollout cycle. What could have been the reason for this? It does not make sense to manually download and install the new version on 5+ computers, especially when you consider that at least one of the computers is "on the go" and a laptop....

1.Currently there is a very obvious BUG
When there is no network connection machine
Offline update package will prompt no network connection
However, all previous versions are available

To everyone who had problems with our web protection module in the past (corrupted downloads, whitepages ...) :
There is a new Avira Antivirus Pro - Network Protection alpha available at the Avira Beta Center.

Technically speaking this is a Antivirus Pro with a new web protection module. As we are still developing it's an alpha version and we're hoping for early user feedback.
All you need to do is join the Avira Antivirus for Windows beta project. Once you are in, you can see a section called "Alpha releases" on the left menu.

    Happy testing!
