Forget about USB Linux, doesn't run as well as I thought and wasn't really useful. Plus, my Chromebook doesn't support them and I carry it around instead. Might get back to portable apps, but I never was using others computers for more than basic web-surfing. And I don't see the point of running those on my own other than for testing it out and recovery operations (not ideal with Elementary or other desktop Linux). Anyhow, I've been itching to use Xfce again, so re-installed Manjaro as it's uniqueness interests me. And immediately, I had to manually re-sync he update servers to even install updates... Oh well, not a deal-breaking issue. Also installed Fedora, because it is the other major Linux distro (Ubuntu is based on Debian, wanted to try something other than Mageia and openSUSE). Had minor graphical aftershadows that was fixed after installing Guest Additions.
Got 6 boxes worth of OS/2 version 1-4 via Craigslist. While the floppies (had a grab a free external reader from another guy in Craigslist) and CD's work, it was too much trouble starting from scratch.
Giving Manjaro one last chance, I believe this is the second time I had to reinstall it. Don't remember the details of the first one, but this time I couldn't login without missing .xsession file.
Manjaro is the only system giving me problems. Now it boots into emergency mode. Hell with that, trying out Sabayon Xfce. *Never mind, it won't even install. Trying Salix next.

I do not have any Virtual Machines at Home. I have several VMware based Virtual Machines at work (Windows Server 2012 R2 64 bit).
Tried and lost interest in maintaining Windows 10. I'll be waiting for the RC or at least Consumer Preview. My current list of virtual machines attached:
Whew, shaved off 8 GB from 20 GB Windows Server 2012 R2 VDI using Disk Cleanup (system files), CCleaner (winapp2.ini), sdelete -z, and VBoxManage modifyhd --compact. Hi I stopped because i start to hate virutal machines i have installed ubuntu 14.04 amazing slow too slow fedora again amazing slow osx m. lion (technical tests) spent day to run it , so slow that i delete after few minutes xp usable right now i would like to try w10 , i will when microsoft will release an iso but may i know why do you run so many os under virtual machine ? many of them are not even usable
Personally I use them for testing purposes. I've also put one Windows 8.1 VM on SSD and must say that it's really fast.
Trying new things, isolation of programs, for fun, etc. As for how usable they are, only the user can tell. Did you allocate enough resources for your virtual machines? I personally give them 4 GB RAM, 4 cores, and 256 MB VRAM.
Well I've gotten bored of trying new OS just for the sake of it, so removed everything except Ubuntu, Windows Server 2012 R2, and Windows XP. Going to try Yosemite Zone as well. That should be more practical.
Well that was a pain ~ Snipped as per TOS ~. After multiple attempts, the best I got was it somewhat working in safe boot... Then tried multiple Snow Leopard distros again, which was somehow even buggier. Back to the tried and tested iATKOS ML2. FTP still wasn't working well, so I switched to SMB. Not sure why I skipped Mavericks.

Then I prematurely gave up and uninstalled everything before testing out more scenarios. Thanks lack of sleep... *OK, I've tested Host-only networking. No difference. Then guest as server. Won't connect. I give up, might as well try one of those cloud apps. *Being the Scrooge that I am, the only free non-cloud option left are these JavaScript apps. Now how in the world do I execute/install it? *Unless someone can conveniently point out how to setup the above, I give up. There doesn't seem to be a worthwhile free cloud service either after reading into them and experimenting a little. Not worth the trouble, I'll just stick with SMB.
Replacing Ubuntu 14.10 with Mageia 5. Basically I wanted to try out KDE 5 and still keep GNOME Shell or Unity. Installing it manually on Ubunu was a failure. Doing this in order to save space and reduce redundancies. *Nevermind, it crashed: https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Mageia_5_Errata#KDE
Decided the try out Linux Deepin 2014.2, and I like it! Virtually no problems, so begone Mageia (that keeps asking for install disc)! Also trying Kubuntu 15.04, got a weird static screen on boot of LiveCD, had to use vga= parameter. Hopefully there won't be any other issues. *2 hours of updating results in broken titlebar... Will have to troubleshoot. *It's more than that, a whole lot of "The shared library was not found". *https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/ source/kwin/ bug/1416490 *Still had problems, trying weekly snapshots and manual VBox guest additions install.
Trying out PC-BSD on my dad's VMware ESXi server. Hopefully I'll have OpenVPN and stuff running. And the Kubuntu problems resolved themselves after sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade. *Also installing Haiku and other OS I don't have space or practical usage for on the VMware ESXi server. Might try OS/2 Warp 4 again.
Kubuntu 15.04 Beta became unbootable after upgrading kernel and switching to systemd. Trying Fedora 22 Alpha KDE next. OS X 10.8 was just taking up space and rarely used. Was a pain to setup as well. So it's gone, especially since I have an iMac now. VirtualBox: Fedora 22, Linux Deepin 2014.2, Windows Server 2012 R2 (converted to workstation), Windows XP (POSReady 2009 registry hack). VMware VSphere Client: Haiku, PC-BSD.

I was just reading this thread and open up the VirtualBox Manager and thought it might be neat to post my current list. Some of those I was checking out as possible installs for my sons computer in which one main requirement was Steam. I ruled most of them out before testing on the actual computer. The yaMacbuntu (ya=yet another) and Macbuntu were just to see how they did.
