Howdy, Members: 1. Is it possible to MOVE SpywareBlaster from Task Bar to System Tray? (I have not found a setting for this.) 2. Do "Power Users" feel that SpywareBlaster is of additional value to a Win 7 laptop already running SuperAntiSpyware, MalwareBytes Anti-Malware and Webroot SecureAnywhere? Hello ab1kenobee: IMHO no need really exists for that as I recall. Once a user has updated the entries/values in the HKU hive, or simply checked for updates, SpywareBlaster's main task is completed and the process may then be dismissed from the Task Manager. Are you perhaps thinking about the payware version's AutoUpdate feature? Its other value added features are equally as brief. A desktop shortcut icon might serve the same need of some folks though. What do you experience that you would like to see the change? Thank you.
Howdy, 1PW: Thanks for getting back. I had to UNINSTALL SpywareBlaster because it slowed Cyberfox browser to a crawl. (Scour-cleaned Win 7 REG as well - completely removed.) Shut down laptop > rebooted > Cyberfox performing again at full speed. Thank you, again. ~ Alan
To sum it up in one post... if you use IE 11, then by all means install SpywareBlaster... If you use FF or Chrome or the others, don't bother... plenty of addons/extensions to cover yourself. Think about it, the FF browsers and the Chrome browsers were build for customisation, a plethora or addons and tweaks are allowed... IE 11, well, IE in general was not designed to allow such tweaks/mods/extensions. The closest thing you can do is modify advanced settings, filter active x, and install Tracker Protection Lists that were designed for IE 9. IE 11 needs a helping hand, and what-do-you-know... SpywareBlaster can do it, as can AdGuard I use MBAM as well, SAS is on-demand.
Howdy, marzametal: Appreciate the IE details. YES... I use Cyberfox... and derivative of FF. YES... I also use MBAM (MalwareBytes Anti-Malware) and SAS (SuperAntiSpyware). YES... I have switched from Microsoft Security Essentials (Freeware) to Webroot SecureAnywhere (PAID)... and gained huge performance improvement. Much appreciate! ~ Alan
