Anything Sandboxie, my pleasure to help in any way I can, Moose. Mx X and Wolfrun are good friends and know them well. Both feel the same.

In my sandboxie settings,Flush is not listed.
I think it is being so after four or five versions of Flash.
Maybe because when i download manually the recent update,i imidiately disable the Protected Mode,i dont know.

Only plug in conteiner is listed in start/inernet access,so i allow firefox.exe in my firefox sanboxie and in my palemoon one both palemoon.exe and plug in conteiner(for using Flash).

I found also more easy for me to set Flash to ''always activate'' and block it with NoScript per site.
If i set it like Wolfrun or Key to ''ask'' and uncheck the setting in Noscript,i have to allow some google services in YouTube and i dont find it conviniend.

Thats right nnikoss, in Firefox, if you disable Flash PM, the FlashPlayerPlugin_16_0_0_296.exe don't run. In that case, you only need to allow plugin-container.exe to run. Most sites would work like that. But there are sites, for example sites that stream live sports games, that require plugin-container to be allowed internet access.

If that way works better for you then by all means do it that way. There are different ways of reaching the same objective.

Last time I tested it didn't work with the installer version. But since I didn't like office 2013, and office 2010 runs in Windows 10, you could say I don't.....

Sandboxie users who are getting either of these messages:

    SBIE2205 Service Not Implemented: LoadedModules
SBIE2205 Service Not Implemented: NtCreateProcessEx (xxxx)

...and are not sure whats causing the issue, should give this version a Go. Its designed to make it easier to diagnose where the problem is coming from.

How did you set up a Sandbox for "Downloads", or is that an actual download manager application?

Sandboxies paid version unlocks a couple of features (Forced programs and Forced folders), with both of this features you set programs and files to run sandboxed when they run. In the case of Forced folder, programs and files that run or are executed from inside a Forced folder, will run sandboxed automatically.

You can use this feature (Forced folders) to force your Downloads folder, folders where you keep files like PDF or videos, you can use it also to force your USB drives, CD and DVD drives, any folder in your computer where you keep files or downloads can be set as a Forced folder. But Forcing folders should not to be used to force Window folders or AppData folders or Programs folders. Using it that way would be wrong and doesn't work.

Basically, when you force a folder or a drive, files and program that run out of one, open up running sandboxed when they run. If you like to set your Downloads folder as a forced folder, the first thing you should do is create a Downloads folder if you are not using one already. Then, create a sandbox for it, you can name the new sandbox as you wish:

    Sandboxie control>Sandbox>Create new sandbox

Sandboxing is isolation, separating programs from each other and the system is how you get all the juice out of Sandboxie. So, its good to use the separate sandbox for your downloads, that way you can restrict it according to the programs that you normally run. For example, downloads don't need to have internet access so in mine, I don't allow any program to have access to the internet. And I only allow certain programs to run. This programs are Excel, Word, Foxit, KMPlayer, programs that I use all the time.

OK. So, now to set your Downloads folder as a Forced folder, you get it done in Sandbox settings for the sandbox that you created for your downloads folder, just add the folder here:

    Sandbox settings>Program start>Forced folders

I have an old key to Sandboxie which I won prior to the Invincea takeover. The key should be a year or so old. Does anyone know if it will still work?

I strongly suggest you to ask Invincea directly, they and only they could tell you.

If the license is lifetime, it should be working. If its a one year license and has not been used, I would try it to see if it works. If you send an email to Invincea, you want to know if its working since they might ask you. This is the address to email them.

Got it running on 2 7x64 machines. TY, Bo.
I don't think I need 4.15.11 yet since I'm not getting either of those two errors.
Keep up the good work, amigo.

You are very very much welcome, marzametal. By the way, with Sandboxies free version, you can set up a sandboxed shortcut for your Downloads folder. It works good. If you like to try it go ahead and create the folder for your Downloads and set your browsers and Sandboxie to download and recover there, then create the sandbox and go here:

Sandboxie control>Configure>Windows shell integration, Click Add shortcut icons, Select the sandbox that you created for the Downloads folder, Click OK, look for the folder in one of the menus that show up, Click it (Explore folder), after you do that, the sandboxed shortcut for your Downloads folder shows up at the Desktop. If you click it, your Downloads folder open up using a sandboxed version of Windows explorer.

You can leave the shortcut in the Desktop or move it to the task bar. And you can restrict the dedicated sandbox as you wish. But remember, with the free version, you can create and use as many sandboxes as you like but you can use only one at a time.

Nothing wrong with free, gotta' renew my licence in March. Thanks for reminding me! I had a bit of a challenge figuring out how to get Windows Photo Viewer to enter the Downloads Sandbox. Then after some research, it turns out WPV is not an exe, it is a parameter run via dllhost.exe. So I went with a 3rd party image viewer so sit along-side mspaint.exe

It seems like everyone go through the same path!:D
I also once thought about it and found that. Another solution is keep all photos in one or two place(s) and make a explorer shortcut for that like:
    "C:\Program Files\Sandboxie\Start.exe" /box DefaultBox explorer "C:\Users\USER NAME\Pictures\"

    Nice approach.

I've also been thinking about how to achieve an approach used by the Mailpile program, which is to do an automatic conversion of internet images - of image formats through a lossless intermediate and back again, which eliminates a lot of the attacks that can be used. E.g. jpg to Tiff to jpg.
