Thanks for making the beta a lifetime license, Zemana!

I'm testing portable mode and have noticed that files are created in the C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Zemana\Zemana AntiMalware folder. Shouldn't portable mode write files in the directory where the ZAMv2.1.1.621.exe is located?

I can also report the false positive of Zemana detecting a custom "Internet Explorer Search" as malware.

i'd rather stick with hitman pro and mbam for antimalware. zemana should focus on improving its antilogger product. antimalware business already got enough players in the league.

Thanks for the Free License Key!

It's possible to add command line support?

I want to smart scan on windows startup, but also a full scan every week, but I can't do that with the GUI...

An option to auto close after the startup smart scan if nothing is detected, and another option to close/minimize when we click on X.

I saw some detection differences, what settings are the cloud engines using?

Why does it start with Windows?

Disagree! MBAM has fallen from grace. HMP only has a couple engines now.

This leaves HerdProtect and Zemana, plenty of room in the market.

While similar in form and function, the two products offer feature sets that differ greatly. If you "stick with" HMP, it's a choice based on opinion only, and misinformed at that.

Oh. So you looked at the engines pane, too? :D

Even though their product development has been ongoing, I tend to agree somewhat.

I’ve been using ZAL Pro for over five years on several systems and have no compulsion at this point to end its use. The realtime Virus Total cloud API alone is worth the price.

But in recent history I waited well over a year for keyboard encryption for Win7 (running Free and Pro concurrently was unacceptable). In the meantime, ZAL Free now runs in ASLR while Pro customers wait in the wings.

As well I reported to support that threats.zdb hasn’t updated since December. This file has consistently updated at least daily, rarely going more than two or three days without. Over a month later, whether or not the process is broken and being fixed or has been relinquished for another remains a mystery.

(Zemana: I maintain anonymity here. Don't cross reference my support ID with this forum. Thanks.)

In the meantime, I have no further interest in a “portable” ZAM; uninstalled. I’m enthusiastic about the features and appreciate the free lifetime license, but I want to try the “installed” version others have.

    Cheers.

    Hello Emre TINAZTEPE,

Here is a suggestion concerning the automatic system restore point creation when you apply actions to found threats. I, myself (and probably a lot of other users here), do not use system restore. I use my own back-up and snapshot solutions thus making system restore unnecessary and redundant. For me, it just wastes space on my HDD so I always disable it. In testing ZAM, I have noticed that it turns system restore on if it is off and then creates a restore point. This forces me to go into system settings to delete that restore point and disable (turn off) it again. An option is desperately needed in the settings of ZAM to enable the user to turn off system restore point creation if that is what they desire. For me and probably others, this is a major inconvenience. Thank you for considering this as I hope that you will implement it...

@puff-m-d: Thanks for posting this. Did not know and agree that ZAM should not change my SR settings.

You spend a lot of time here on Wilders so I’ll just assume you skimmed my message so quickly I won’t want to ask “What part of realtime...cloud did you not understand?” ;) Phalanaxus did understand; thanks.

    http://zemana.com/product/antilogger/overview/
Through IntelliGuard, your AntiLogger references in real time the latest community intelligence base of threats; and threats detected on your computer are scanned against over 40 malicious files databases and known bad files are blocked automatically.

    http://zemana.com/product/antilogger/modules/intelliguard.aspx
...it will allow your AntiLogger to make reference, in real time, to the latest community intelligence base.
We partnered with VirusTotal to empower our cloud with the best available technologies.

    Totally worth the price.

    Cheers.

Good point. As well as the ability to hard-set an on or off, also the option to set a "Create a SR? Yes/No" popup at an appropriate point in the process. Or something like a check box in the Continue prompter as presented in IOit's uninstaller. OMG! Did some one mention IObit on... Wilders?! :D

Also, do you have a removal/uninstall tool for if there is a conflict? And could you provide the link for removal/uninstall tool for Zemana Antimalware 2 Beta?
So, that I can keep it on hand. Just in case, that I need it?

Zemana doesn't seems to have the same BitDefender database as HitmanPro, because HitmanPro detects files that Zemana doesn't detect, or is something else...
