I have just upgraded ExtFS for Mac and it stopped seeing an ext4 partition on my external hard drive (I'm on OS X 10.9). Reboot doesn't help. The partition is accessible from another laptop with Ubuntu. Is the new release coming?
Hi sergkop, Please try to roll back to previous version of ExtFS for Mac OS X. You can download it from here: http://ftp.paragon.eu.com/support/extfs/ExtFS_for_Mac_9.2.536.dmg Will it mount your ext4 partition?
That doesn't help either( Yesterday just before the upgrade the old version of plugin recognized the drive, but not anymore.
Hi sergkop, Please try this version: http://ftp.paragon.eu.com/support/extfs/Paragon_ExtFS_for_Mac_OS_X_9.3.118.dmg Official update is coming next week.
I have the same problem on Mavericks, even with the .118 update; I get a "permission denied" error even when logged in as root.
Please, try to mount your partition manually: mkdir /Volumes/ext4 sudo mount_ufsd_ExtFS /dev/diskXsY /Volumes/ext4 (diskXsY is your ext4 partition) Also, please try to verify filesystem integrity.
Suggestions welcome - checking the volume image worked... fsck_ufsd_ExtFS -n system.img Checking Volume system.img... Step 1: Checking inodes, blocks, and sizes Step 2: Checking directory structure Step 3: Checking directory connectivity Step 4: Checking reference counts Step 5: Checking group summary information Check finished 0 KB in 1359 files. 0 KB in 70 directories. 0 KB in bad blocks in 0 fragments. 1 KB in each allocation unit. 329440 total allocation units on volume (0.31 GB). 13483 allocation units available on volume (0.01 GB). No repairs were necessary for volume system.img. but - mounting system.img fails: sudo mount_ufsd_ExtFS system.img /Volumes/ext4 Password: mount ("ufsd_ExtFS", "/Volumes/ext4", 0x0, 0xbffff7b0): Block device required
Just be carfull with repairing disks through OSX disk utility. It will maybe break your drive. The verification of one of my disks shows me to repair this one, i agreed with that and find my self in a corrupted linux drive where all data where lost (even if they was recoverable in my case!!!).
Hi , I just install extFS (trial version) on my mini mac (mavericks osx10.9). connect to my linux external hdd (filesystem :ext3 ) first connection, mac can read my files well. copy paste worked as expected. BUT, i fail to connect since 2nd connection, and there a massage "Disk Mount Problem". The massage said: "Untitled (/Volumes/Untitled) can not be mounted. There might be a problem with some files on this device or disk. This happen if you remove the device or disk before all files have been written to it. Please, use Disk Utility to verify and repair this volume." What happen here? Is this case common? Should I follow the suggestion to verify and repair the hdd? please help me.
I have the same trouble. My trial will expire soon, and I won't be buying if the driver doesn't actually work.
Hello, I just purchased ExtFS for mac, and it will not mount my EXT drive. It worked at first, but now that the drive has lots of data on it, it will not mount. I tried the terminal commands. It did not work. Please help.
