Okay thanks to you guys, I fixed my system but I am thinking about reinstalling Debian again just start from a clean slate.... I check out debian website and they seem to offer multiple different debian testing ISOs. 1) Official weekly builds called "testing" 2) Official Jessie alpha 1 and beta 1 release And which one of these will be more stable?
AFAIK I think they are the same thing right now. Debian testing, no matter what version will be updated constantly so it will receive updates till Jessie, and then when Debian thinks of a new name for the next release Debian testing will then progress moving onto that version and won't be frozen on Jessie. However Jessie (or other releases) will only stay on that version, still get updates while they are supported, how ever its kind of frozen. (think Ubuntu) I could be wrong, thats just my understanding of it. hope it helps
