While allowing "None" as a choice should be left to the discretion of the poll creator, including it as a possible answer allows for broader sampling. I say keep it.

For a lot of the polls, the "none" option is necessary. Recent poll example:

Not everyone. :) I think it's nice to give members an option to express their will through separate poll. :thumb:

I suggest that if you're not using the item or doing the task in the poll the response should be "none at the moment", seeing as most people change their minds or discover reasons to use an item from time to time.

Don't think that's necessary, why would only the "None" option get this special treatment?

Heh, then I guess I've held myself for way too much that has made people can't sense my sinister nature at all. In real-life I can be summarised as a redefinition of hell. =P

    Thanks. I'll think about it.

You could also change your mind to do something different. How do we know that there are more people who can't do any of what they think of doing at the moment for whatever reason than there are ones who just decided to do something new/else (relative to the voters who've pretty much settled on their choice)?

Indeed, it could be as well Avast at the moment or Avira at the moment, it is always, what affects the present. people can change their mind any time.

    Right.

The poll has been expired. The result is the majority of voters (24 votes or 68.6% of total voters) want the "None" option to stay. So it stays. Thank you all for participating. I really appreciate all your feedback. I will use this result as guidelines in creating polls in the future.
